Sister of the bride style: Meet Dheeru

BY The WMG Bride | 24 May, 2015 | 18550 views | 2 min read

Gold continues to be the color of the season and the proof of that is in this sister of the bride's  outfit choices. We love her sequinned, golden bronze lehenga on her sisters wedding with the refreshing contrast of the mint green dupatta. Special mention to hair and makeup- so elegant and beautiful!

The Sangeet

As gold was the color of the season. I picked up another gold outfit for this occasion. It had a beautiful cancan skirt with an ombre achkan over it. The work on this outfit is an interesting amalgamation of Swarovski studs placed carefully over a pastel colored thread work ending just at the waistline followed by a gorgeous flock work with fine velvet at the bottom.  For this outfit, I kept the accessories limited with big cocktail earrings and an indo-western hand harness.

The Mehendi

Mehendi is always a functions that brings out a traditional festive mood with a quirky colorful decor. For this occasion, I selected a tri-colored lehenga that blends well with the theme of the function. The neckline of lehenga's blouse was brilliantly done with dabka and zardosi work. I love the way they had placed all the gota and brocade borders together on the skirt and dupatta.

Since I added lots of vibrant colors to the outfit, I settled for white pearl work jewellery. I added two strings to pearls to my old traditional mangtika and gave it a new look. I wore that as a side worn headgear with a medium length jhumkas.

For the wedding I always wanted a traditional outfit with a modern touch to it. So I chose this gold lehenga with a sea green dupatta that added a little color to the outfit making it look more graceful. It had resham thread work with cluttered sequin-handwork all over.

I completed the look with my favorite kundan haath phool, mangtika and earrings. I went for green moti drops for the mangtika and earrings as it blended perfectly with the color of the dupatta.

We loved how Dheeru gave special attention to the makeup for all the ceremonies!

If you're a sister of the bride book a family makeup service for yourself and look radiant on the wedding.
