10 Wedding Tasks You Can Do From The Comfort Of Your Home

BY Twinkle | 05 Aug, 2020 | 2225 views | 4 min read

All thanks to the COVID-19 crisis, you can't really go out and have been spending the time with your family or (if you are lucky) with your fiance. From game nights to Netflix binges, we know that deep down you can't stop thinking about your wedding. If you are confused that what is it that you can address from the comfort of your house, here are tasks that can be knocked off without much ado.

Create your wedding website

With everything now moving online, it is the right time to get started on building your wedding website. It will act as the central place for all the information about your big day and allow people to share updates even when you are busy and can't do the needful.

Plan a DIY for your wedding

Adding a personal touch to your wedding day always goes a long way. Even if you aren't the most crafty bride, you can always do a little something that people can remember. From signage to photo backdrops to tie-dye napkins, we know you can take the guests by surprise.

Practice your bridal solo dance

Dance your heart out and get all your steps perfect. Use your quaran-time to work on your dance skills. Get in touch with your choreographer over a video call and get your songs finalised. You could also involve your parents and get them to practice their songs already and be a step ahead of the ladkewale.

Initiate self-care

This is undeniably the most important wedding task. Stick to a fitness regimen or plan a spa-date at home. Make sure to take care of your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing more than anything else.

Plan with your planner

Huddle up with your wedding planner on a video call and discuss a new plan (don't forget to check in on their health) as you may have planned a summer wedding but now the elements will change if your wedding is postponed to winter.

Pack your trousseau

While I am sure you are in the mood to chill and do nothing, this is the best time to sort out your clothes and build the bag you are taking to your 'piya ke ghar'. You could even go the extra mile and pack each outfit in a fancy way to impress your in-laws!

Shop online

Have some outfits pending even now? A lot of retail outlets are allowing customers to shop online and are delivering in time. You may also be lucky and end up saving some money due to the low demand.

Do food tasting

While this may sound a bit weird, if you have booked an independent caterer, you can check with them and have the food delivered for an at-home food tasting session. If your caterer is adapting similarly to how many restaurants are by offering takeout and delivery, this could be the perfect opportunity.

Write a letter for your in-laws and family

It is always a good idea to start any new relationship with a tiny ode or a special gift. Write your to-be in-laws a letter about how you feel about this new bond you are set to create and don't forget to write a note for your parents, too.

Think of a theme
