So you have your Photographer and theme sorted for your pre-wedding shoot, but the biggest problem is getting your venue sorted. Where do you shoot it? How much do you pay? What is allowed? We made a list of some of our favourite venues below.
1.Tikli Bottom
An English cottage set amidst a large farm land, Tikli Bottom is a retreat located about an hour from the Gurgaon border. While getting there is a bit of an ask, the location is beautiful with a swimming pool, open lawns and more.

2. Lodhi Art District
In the bylanes of Lodhi Colony, are a bunch of brightly painted, colorful walls which provide the perfect backdrop for a pre-wedding shoot with some character. The best part- since this is public property, its free to use and we love how photographer Shiv Sharma used these for a pre-wedding shoot recently.

3. Dusit Devrana
There are few venues in the city more beautiful than the gorgeous Dusit Devrana. From water bodies, to stunning landscaped lawns and even minimalist sandstone architecture - there is something for every type of couple here but it does come at a hefty price

4. The Perfect Location
If you are someone who wants variety, then The Perfect Location is literally- Perfect . The Perfect location has multiple backdrops- a Greece theme, an outdoor picnic, a horse ranch, or just romantic light bulbs. Think of it like every backdrop you ever wanted- available at one place.
Price: Packages start at 15,000 - 25000 per day

5. Hauz Khaz Village
HKV is a huge host of things you could use. There is deer park right behind it, which if you are quiet enough you can use without too many people noticing you. There are bylanes in HKV which give that busy, worn out vibe that looks great in photos

6. Tarudhan Valley Golf Resort
Another resort that is about an hour and a half drive from Gurgaon. Situated in Manesar, this golf resort has lush landscapes and wide open spaces perfect for video shoots as well.

7. The Picture Destination
Another location made specifically for pre wedding shoots, this is the newest kid on the block.Located in Kundli area(NCR) on NH1, 40 minutes from Delhi, this one has lavish sets, 25 backdrops and many props for a hassle free shoot.

8. Connaught Place
This may seem like an odd choice for a pre-wedding shoot venue, but we loved how the team at The Creative Lens used it for a shoot here- incorporating vintage, minimalist elements for a shoot that looks like it's out of a seventies movie.

9. ITC Grand Bharat
Want a venue that is beyond anything in your wildest dreams??? Then ITC Grand Bharat is the answer. Not easy on the pocket, but the grandeur of the place is for the couple who wants a larger than life pre-wedding shoot.

10. The Rail Museum
Sounds weird? Well, yeah it did to us too. But then we saw some absolutely stunning, old school shots with vintage Maharaja trains in the background and we fell in love.

How to work with Venues for your Pre-Wedding shoot:
- While photography is more or less permitted in the locations marked as free, video and filming will always create an issue.
- It's best to introduce your photographer as a friend who is casually clicking you guys, to avoid unnecessary attention
- If you are paying for the venue, make sure which areas are off limits, and what is included in terms of food and drink.
