1. Start Your Beauty Vitamins

Start taking beauty vitamins for longer, shinier hair and glowing skin. Don’t know where to start? Consult your doctor and dermatologist today. The basic ones to be biotin for hair and nails, vitamin C for skin and Omega 3 for overall skin glow. Depending on what your body needs, you will need to consult with your doctor for the right dosage.

WMG recommends: Himalaya Dermacare range is perfect for this.

2. Testing A New Hair Colour

Thinking about a dramatic change for your wedding? Now is the time to try it out—if you hate it, there’s still plenty of time for you to grow it out or change the colour without frying your locks. If something, god forbid, goes wrong, then you have time to make a change or grow that out.

WMG recommends: L'Oreal Paris Casting Creme Hair Colour in Dark Chocolate is an all-time winner!

3. Identifying a Facialist + Dermatologist

Any treatments like Botox and fillers takes a few days to kick in and usually last a few months. If you’re considering it, do it now to make sure you can correct any potential issues. Find a facialist and start your regimen, go once every month for chemical peels, photo facials and lasers for face and hair removal. Our founder Mehak got you the deets on this.

WMG recommends: The latest in lasers is the AFFIRM, it is a revolutionary fractional laser technology to tighten your skin and tackle blemishes, pigmentation and dull skin. You need to lay low once you get it done at least for 2 weeks so take your time.

4. Plan your skincare regime

If you’ve been slacking on your skin routine, now is the time to start incorporating a stricter system. Cleanse, tone, target, and moisturize every morning and night—and don’t forget to exfoliate two or three times a week! Go to a dermatologists who can plan any skincare treatments, if needed.

WMG recommends:  The safest is always the dermatologically-tested ones: Clinique or Neutrogena. Even Kiehls which gives out samples. Consult with them and try out samples - every one of them.

5. Go For A Planned Fitness And Nutrition Regime

Avoid crash dieting before your wedding by starting a fitness and nutrition plan as a part of your bridal care, 3 months before your marriage. You’ll look healthy and glowing on the big day, instead of exhausted and weak.  You can track your food intake via My Fitness Pal or any other apps and add in the new Nike Training App if you are looking to stay healthy!

WMG recommends:  Our real brides can give you good advice on how to stay healthy. Try Fiticket where you can actually choose your own workout and get in without any hassles.

6. Do Those Hair And Makeup Trials

If you haven’t done this, you need to do it and close your final MUA soon. Take your final trial and book your artists immediately. you don’t want run the risk of conflicting schedules or last-minute changes. You can find the best in our exclusive bridal makeup artists and hairstylists gallery!

WMG recommends:  Our Gallery does provide some great inspiration from real brides on hair + makeup.

7. Finish Up Your Laser Hair Removal Sessions

This isn’t a compulsion but if fuzz-free is what you want to be, laser hair removal is the way to go. Since you will need at least 5-6 sittings, with 3 months to go, you should be down to your final two. You should not do any session atleast 1 month prior to the D-day!

WMG recommends:: Krasa Aesthetic and Enhance Clinic are some of the best in the filed.

8. Work Your Upper Body

To ensure you're wedding-ready from head to toe, don't skip upper-body strength training in your workout routine. Not only does it sculpt your muscles, but it also enhances your posture—a must for those long hours spent hunched over screens. Ask your trainer to whip up an upper-body chiselling regimen featuring exercises like rows, deltoid flys, and low-seated rows. And don't forget to target those triceps with dips, cable pull-downs, and good old-fashioned push-ups. Your arms and picture-perfect photos will thank you on your big day!

1. Pick Those Beauty Accessories

Select any beauty accessories, like hair accessories or customized lipstick colours, now. Make sure you make-up kit is ready with the products you need for touch-ups - that is after your consultation with the makeup artist and hair person.

WMG recommends: These nice hair accessories we spotted last year are still rocking!

2. Get Your Teeth Whitening Done

If you wish to smile with your best pearls, this is the right time to get teeth whitening done. You might need two sessions so get the first one now and the last one 3 weeks before your d-day!

WMG recommends: Try these cute teeth whitening at home DIY ideas. We like them!

3. Kick Fitness Regimen Into Full Gear

Take your fitness regimen to the next level at the two-month mark—add an extra thirty minutes of gym time each day, or start a weekend yoga class.

WMG recommends:  Aerial yoga is seen to give better results ( slimming in 2 weeks flat) so check that out. Make your workout fun - instead of boring so look for anything that interests you - dance, Zumba or even Kalaripayattu. On top of it, Leena Mogre has started these Bridal bootcamps - 6 weeks of crazy regimes that really help you tone up.

4. Shine Bright Like A Diamond!

Body polishing is a must-have in the wedding prep for brides list. Start 2 months in advance to know how your skin reacts to body polishing and follow up a week before the wedding, too. It will remove all the dead skin and make your skin supple and beautiful.

WMG recommends:  Go to professional salons like Lakme who have dedicated bridal services.

5. Skip the Wine and Get to Juicing

Pouring on the wine might be pouring on the wrinkles! According to leading studies, wine can dehydrate, break capillaries, and steal your glow. But fear not! If you can't resist the vino, swap it for a verdant alternative: green juice. Packed with oxygen and essential minerals, it's a skin saviour. So, sip on some leafy greens to keep that wedding-day radiance intact!

6. Get Those Eyelash Extensions Done

Go to your dermat or a trusted salon and get a non-invasive lash extension done. Wondering why? It will save you from the trouble of the fake lashes (which honestly look quite done up) and not go even when you remove your makeup.

WMG recommends:  Novalash, Delhi is one of the top recommended places for an eyelash extension. Also, read up reviews of the place you intend to book before you go to them. Understand the process and go ahead only if you feel comfortable enough.

1. Get Full Body Massages Done

From the top of your head to the tips of your toes, every part of your body can be negatively impacted by unmanaged stress. Full body massages are a great way to relive all that stress and also promote lymphatic drainage. At least opt for 2 per month, one month prior!

2. Give Extensions a Go

When your natural locks need a boost in volume or your dream hairstyle demands extra length, consider diving into the world of hair extensions. They're the secret weapon for achieving a variety of stunning looks that last from the first photo to the final dance. With extensions, your hair can be the epitome of your signature style, but better.

Before taking the plunge, narrow down your desired styles and have a heart-to-heart with your bridal hair artist. Their expertise will guide you in choosing the perfect extensions—considering factors like texture, origin, color, and density. Different styles demand different grades of hair for that flawless finish. Avoid any hair-raising mishaps by consulting with your stylist first. And hey, you might even have the option to rent them if it's just for the big day!

1. Hair Gloss, Trim, And Subtle Colour

Get a colour-enhancing gloss treatment at your salon for shiny locks on your wedding day, and trim any split ends while you’re there. Get a haircut and make sure you grow into the length you want.

WMG recommends: Going for professional deep-conditioning treatments, is supposed to keep your hair in check.

2. Lay Off the Booze

We know that this is difficult given the number of pre-parties and events. But moderation is key. Complete no to beer and cocktails. The top areas for sugar and alcohol storage on our bodies is right around our hips and lower belly. Alcohol metabolizes as estrogen, and estrogen loves making a home for itself in our lower abdominal area. So, if you want to rock those lehenga abs you worked so hard for, keep the booze in control.

3. Exfoliate Away!

If you haven’t already, start exfoliating your body at least two to three times a week. Try a gentle body scrub that sloughs off dead skin cells without stripping your skin of moisture. Keep your face in check with exfoliation - once a week. Also, if you want to shrink your pores, try Microdermabrasion. Opt for chemical exfoliation only under the guidance of your dermat!

WMG recommends:  The Clarisonic is a great tool to exfoliate your face and it really goes inside to work it's magic!

4. Nail Care

Keep your nails without colour for 2 weeks because they will recover from all the fatigue. It's always good to then get a manicure and put them together 3 days prior to the first event!

WMG recommends: We gave you our personal nail guide this week - plus, 10 awesome colours to choose from!

1. Get Those Brows Done

Get your brows waxed, threaded, or shaped at the one-week mark. Tweeze any stray hairs at least one day before your wedding to avoid redness. Do not try any new method that you may have not done before.

2. Waxing

Get waxed at least five days before the big day so your skin has time to heal. Apply coconut oil on your legs, even Baby oil works wonders to soothe irritation.

3. Mask It Up

If you have oily skin, try a purifying clay mask. If your skin is dry, use a hydrating mask to moisturize and plump. We love the GlamnGlow Mud Packs that are supposed to work wonders. Again, go for products that you have used earlier.

4. Hair Massage And Hair Spa

Go for a hot oil massage for your hair so it keeps your hair healthy and add a frizz-free treatment before-hand. You can also double up with a hair spa so that you can get soft hydrated locks!

5. Manicure and Pedicure

Wrap up your manicure and pedicure 3 days prior to the first event. You don’t want to be rushing to the salon one day prior!

6. Body Massage

If you have the time, indulge in a full body massage. It will relax you and you will have glowing skin!

The Day Before

1. Beauty sleep

The best thing you can do at this point is to get some shut-eye—you’ve done your work, now take some time to relax (or at least try to). So you can avoid dark circles.

2. Hydrate

Drink lots of water the day before to ensure you and your skin are hydrated. Ensure you are also having lemon water and coconut water to add extra hydration.

3. Exfoliate your lips

Keep them scrubbed with a sugar scrub and liberally use lip balm as a pre-lipstick ritual.

4. Hair Prep

Wash your hair before-hand and sleep it out. Yeah, you don't do it on the d-day. Check with your hairstylist on what they recommend!

The Big Day

1. Keep blotting papers handy so you can blot excess makeup and oil throughout!

2. Don't keep touching your face. Go through the usual cleansing-toning-moisturising routine.

3. A salt scrub can soften elbows so do it on the day of the wedding. This prepping is perfect for d-day.

4. Use SPF on your lips + face + body but especially on your lips.

Congratulations—you’ve made it to the big day! Now all you have to do is smile and try not to cry (and if you do, your waterproof mascara’s got you covered).
