5 Easy DIY projects for the best bridal photos

If you are a 'Pinterest bride' , then chances are you have already browsed through a ton of inspiration and saved over a gazillion ideas for photos for your big day. But these, simple DIY props can ensure you add a little something extra to your wedding photos.

1. DIY Glitter Hanger

Make it yourself:

- Purchase a wooden hanger

- Cover it in fevicol

- Dip into tub of Gold glitter

- Let it air dry for 3-4 hours

- Seal it by adding varnish if necessary

Use it in a photo:  Drape your lehenga over this and ensure that your getting-ready shots have just the right amount of sparkle.

2. DIY  "I do" shoes

Make it yourself:

- Purchase decals from Etsy and stick them in your shoes

OR

- Buy Swarovski

- Stick them in an I do shape with feviquick

- Let it air dry for 3-4 hours

 

Use it in a photo:  Get one photo of yourself lying on the bed, with your legs crossed infront of you, and have the photographer capture the "I do"

 

3. DIY  bridal champagne glass

Do it yourself:

- Purchase an embellished white hair tie (think of one with crystals, flowers etc)

- Take either plain fabric, or lace

- Use white hair tie to fasten the lace on to the glass like a frill

Use it in a photo: Get gorgeous cocktail night photos as you sip on your wine from your glass

 

4. DIY  Bride to be robe

Do it yourself:

- You can use a white paper badge and attach it to your robe

OR

- Make a 'bride to be' sash

Use it in a photo: Get great getting ready shots as your makeup is applied

 

5. DIY  'dressed up' getting ready chair

Do it yourself:

  • Buy pastel ribbons and hang them at the back of your getting-ready chair
  • Cut out paper letters and hang them saying "BRIDE" at the back
  • You could even get helium balloons and tie them to your chair for gorgeous photos.
