Lets get real ladies. When it comes to fitness, there are about a gazillion different sources telling you a gazillion different, bizarre things to do (Eat with chopsticks so you eat less - really?) So we turned to our favourite resource at WMG - real brides who stayed in shape for the big day and asked them what THEY did for their wedding to look svelte and fabulous.

Recently featured on 'Band Baaja Bride', Nausheen from Mumbai says :

  • Drink Raw Pressery detox for three days before your first event. Flat stomach and glowing skin guaranteed on your major event day.

Newly wed cutie Radhika Sadana Kadam has some super interesting fitness choices:

  •  Drink coconut water every day for glowing skin. Also gulp down chia seeds soaked in water before dinner - they are loaded with nutrients and you feel quite full, so you don't overeat on dinner. I also recommend having vegetable soup before dinner- so you don't feel as hungry. I also have a major sweet tooth so I just switched up cakes for cranberries

Not so newly wed anymore- WedMeGood founder Mehak quips:

  •  Ermm, the stress of wedding planning ensured I lost a bit of weight on my own . But I basically just doubled my breakfast and halved my dinner- ate before 8 pm everyday. But I just joined Zumba classes and girls, they are the BEST workout ever-they workout every inch of your body and specially tone up problem areas. Super recommend.

Fashion blogger and newly wed Veethi Telang mentioned:

  • I gained immensely from taking Vitamin C supplements. And, being technology savvy, I made MapMyWalk and MyFitnessPal my friends for the final 2 months to track my fitness. The most important thing, however, was that I didn't strain. I wanted to remember myself as an extremely happy, content bride, and not one that loses her mind and appetite over the weighing scale.

Newly wed,  Ruchira mentions:

  • I did cheek exercises to get a glow to my face. First make a fish face for 20 seconds,  Then make a pout and put pressure on left side of your cheek first , keep it for ten to twenty seconds and then do the same for right cheek. I also drank carrot juice daily, coconut water and Kesar milk at night. For exercise- nothing is as painful, but as effective as squats.
