Most honeymooners choose the standard cliche European itinerary- the same cities and the same sightseeing. How about you mix things up with some lesser-known but amazing places which are totally gonna be worth the extra trip? Stay at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d'Antibes, France
Who needs anything else when you have a pool like that one? A one-of-a-kind hotel, this one was a private mansion in the 1800s, and then was opened as a hotel and is pretty legendary!
Must-do: Even if it's out of your budget, you can lunch here and then pretend to be hotel guests so you can chill in that gorgeous pool!
Take a trip to Český Krumlov in Czech Republic
Located on the banks of the Vltava River, Český Krumlov dates back to the 13th century, and the stunning architecture has remained intact since, so the place is really one of a kind!
Must-do: Take a trek up Mount Klet', which is on the outskirts of the city. It makes for an excellent diversion after all that sightseeing in the historic old city and gives a really magnificent view.
Visit the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood in St. Petersburg, Russia
Imagine an interior full of mosaics! Located at the site of the 1881 assassination attempt on Alexander II, the colorful Church has an interior like no other!
Must-do: While you're in St Petersburg, do visit the Hermitage Museum and the Winter Palace too, especially if you're art buffs!
Take in the breathtaking view at Morcote in Switzerland
Morcote is located just by Lake Lugano, in the Italian part of Switzerland. Influenced by both Italy and Switzerland, it's one place you shouldn't miss!
Must-do: Visit the Ristorante della Torre, which is a rustic, beamed dining room which has been done up in an old-fashioned vintage touch, and has a lovely terrace right by the lake with a beautiful view.
Soak up the sun at Praia Dona Ana in Lagos, Portugal
The most picturesque beach of the Algarve region, this one looks straight out of a postcard! Clear turquoise water, soft white sand and rock formations that steal the show!
Must-do: Rent out parasols and deck chairs on the beach for €10 per day.
Visit the 'real-life' Disney castle in Germany!
The 19th-century castle of Neuschwanstein is nestled among greenery in Germany's Bavarian Alps. It looks right out of a fairytale, and is said to be the inspiration behind the Disney castle in Sleeping Beauty!
Must-do: You can only enter in a guided castle tour, and ticket lines can be long in peak season. Plan ahead and book a skip-the-line tour to check it out without hassle!
Check out Carcassone in France
This medieval town, complete with a castle and Gothic Cathedral is still fortified- just like in the shows and movies you watch!
Must-do: The place has a canal too, so take a guided boat tour with Carcassonne Cruises, which shows you around the place!
