Our wedding was a great mix of my husband's Punjabi culture and my South Indian Iyer heritage. We had a fun filled and exuberant Mehndi ceremony and a classy Reception where we exchanged rings. On the other hand, we had a traditional "Nichyadartham" or Roka ceremony following the rich traditions and rituals of my Iyer heritage.
Amidst Covid - 19 my mother was pivotal in bringing all the celebrations together as I could not visit India from New York up until 2 weeks before my wedding. My mom was my best bridesmaid and she always will be. She helped me pick my wedding sarees and outfits via video calls and went to Chennai from New Delhi to shop from the iconic Nalli T-Nagar for my wedding. Even though times were tough and they still our, my parents did not leave any stone unturned to make my wedding no less than a dream.
WedMeGood was so crucial in finding a great team of professionals to support me and my family making sure the events were a success.
My parents, especially my father was particular that all our Iyer ceremonies be performed to perfection and the wedding itself was surreal, divine, holistic and a blessed occasion.

Makeup Artist: Get Gorgeous with Ridhi
Ridhi was absolutely amazing and without a doubt my it was the best decision to have her and Annette as my MUA and Hair stylist. They were very professional from the beginning, super reliable all through the hectic wedding schedules (late night to early morning functions!!) And delivered different classy looks for each of my functions - each better than the previous one. Surely they are a dream team which I will recommend to all brides to be.

Mehendi Artist: Digital Henna Touch by Aman Gupta
Aman is indeed very talented when it comes to designing the perfect bridal mehndi, however, there was mismanagement and miscommunication at the end of his manager. His manager was an unnecessary link who confused the communication I had directly with Aman. She got the time of our Mehndi program wrong and Aman had to rush through my bridal henna on the day of the event. She called us the evening before the event to confirm the timing and ask us the price range of the Henna design I was going for which I thought was unprofessional, and also asked if we wanted to reschedule. It seemed as though she was trying to make room and squeeze another client a day before our function. This was totally unnecessary as Aman was one of the first vendors we booked and our communication was clear from the beginning. The manager’s meddling (for the lack of a better word) tainted my henna experience a bit, but nonetheless, Aman and his team is great at what they do. Would recommend his service minus the sudden services of his manager
