Surkhi and Aakash's wedding in the city of lakes was a glam affair! The palaces played the perfect backdrop for a wedding that redefined royal! Surkhi looked absolutely beautiful in her vivid outfits! From the sharara with monotone hues and Swarovski work, a trail and Rajasthani parrots she wore on her Sufi night, to the vivid pink velvet blouse lehenga she opted for her Mehendi and finally the traditional red she donned for her wedding, each and every look was flawless! So, just scroll and swoon at all the goreousness just like we did!

The Reception

From The Bride:

I wanted a wedding which is chic yet traditional. and wanted everyday to be a big party. Since I am from Udaipur, I knew I wanted to use the regality of the city, but in a subtle way.

The decor of the wedding day comprised of a Live size Pichwai painting as a backdrop and vedic mantras. The entire area was lit up with diyas and mandap was made of traditional genda flowers and banana trees. The wedding ceremony was enchanted with mantras and hymns and seating of 200 people attending the pheras. Mehndi decor was inspired by mughal gardens and terraces. The venue(Chunda palace)added a lot to the beauty of the event.

Bridal Oufits

For Sufi night, I opted for a sharara with monotone hues and Swarovski work, a trail and Rajasthani parrots made on it. I kept it classy with diamond jewellery.

For Mehndi, I opted for Ritu Kumar's Lehnga in earthy hues and human figures made on it but played around with bright magenta colored blouse and Navratan jewellery.

For Cocktail night, I opted for Amit Agarwal gown with monotone hues of beige and added color through the jewellery.

For the Wedding day, I wanted to go all traditional with a red lehnga, Rjasthani polki jewellery which included mehri(mathapatti), traditional aad (neckpiece), antique nose ring, ivory bangles and gold kamarbandh. My lehnga was from Shyamal Bhumika, I loved the traditional work with a simple blouse, heavy drape and simple veil.

For the Reception, I opted for a very chic lehnga from Shantanu and Nikhil in again a monotone of olive green and paired it simply with diamond necklace.
