A Pretty Agra Wedding In Hues Of Pink Of A Fashion Entrepreneur

BY Aakanksha | 18 Mar, 2019 | 21270 views | 3 min read

How beautiful is a day wedding decked up in shades of pink? Just mindblowingly gorgeous! When fashion entrepreneur Kompal's wedding pictures hit Instagram, we were instantly hooked! We loved how the couple played with hues of pink and coordinated their outfits to the T!  The fact that Kompal's wedding lehenga was inspired by the architecture of Agra and had domes around on it was just perfect! ITC Mughal, Agra was the picture perfect venue for this beautiful wedding while photography by Pankaj Mantri and videography by Mrinal Khatnani Photos and Films★ 5  was as stunning as it could be!

Meet Kompal & Rishabh

Kompal tells us how Instagram played a pivotal role in getting them together, "If I hadn't been on Instagram , we wouldn't have connected. So, yes almost five years back me and Rishabh, we came across each other on IG and started with a conversation which we never thought would end up getting us married. Soon when we came to know each other it was time for him to leave for his studies to the US and it did make us aware that it’s probably not gonna work for us in the long run. But it did! We connected over emails, skype calls and managed meeting just once in a year. We went through all the tough times together being away and today we realise it was all worth the wait when we are living together in Boston now, it’s been almost 10 days to our wedding and we just moved to the US right after."

The Engagement

The Wedding

From The Bride:

My vision as a bride was really an unexpected one, I was all about simplicity and believed in creating a statement in the society. I was pretty sure about what I wanted to reflect in myself and the world being a fashion influencer. I wanted to set an example to the young girls that they can never stop experimenting in life by carrying a traditional Benarasi saree on their engagement than a regular ball gown and a glamorous heavy trail gown on their sagan unlike a lehenga or anything mainstream. Then coming to our big day, our wedding, we strictly imagined it to be a day wedding, we wanted to connect to the nature, sun and the clouds along with the pastel shades and flowers all over to make the decor look fresh and pure when it was about our most special day. We chose ITC MUGHAL, Agra as our wedding destination for its unique history of royals and the city itself being known for the Taj Mahal, a symbol of true love. My lehenga was inspired by the architecture of Agra and had domes around on it.

Vendors: Venue: ITC Mughal, Agra; Makeup Artist & Hairstylist: Sneha Charan; Photographer: Pankaj Mantri; Videography: Mrinal Khatnani Photos and Films★ 5 ; Wedding Decor: Manish Singhal; Bridal Outfits: Sulakshana Monga★ 4.8 ; Mehendi Artist: Bubina Shabina, Lucknow; Groom's Outfits: Blues, South Extention, New Delhi
