All The Deets On Deepika's Wedding Jewellery! *& That MASSIVE Rock Too!
BY Sakshi Saxena | 16 Nov, 2018
Full marks to Deepika Padukone for being a traditional bride even though she got married in Italy! Yup, whether it was the South Indian or the North Indian wedding, her look is of a traditional Indian bride, and while we can't really see too much of the outfits, one thing that really shines in both the photos released by the couple is the bridal jewellery! So we decided to give you the deets on all that we know about her wedding jewels!
First things first, let's start with that massive rock on her finger!
Yep, her engagement ring did set tongues wagging- I mean, look at the size of it! Her ring is a 3-stone or 5-stone Emerald cut solitaire ring set in platinum and definitely grabs a lot of attention! As per reports, Deepika's engagement ring costs more than Anushka's did, and that was worth 1 Crore! So Ranveer definitely went all-out!
The Konkani Wedding
Like a South Indian bride, Deepika donned heavy temple jewellery-inspired ornaments for this day. The jewellery by Sabyasachi was on point, with golden dangling jhumkas, layers of necklaces and a beautiful traditional mathapatti! We like how the look was a fusion one- bringing together the perfect North-South bridal look!
The Sindhi Wedding
Starting with what caught our attention the most- her personalised dupatta! Yep, it was embroidered with pure gold, and had the words ‘Sada Saubhagyavati Bhavah’ on the border.
As far as her jewellery was concerned, it was again by Sabyasachi- this time she wore polki jewellery with an elaborate statement maangtikka and a simple but massive Nath! She had on a lot of polki rings, bangles and kadas, and was wearing a traditional red chura and kaleere by Ra Abta By Rahul , which is a label that also happens to be a WMG fave! Here's a closer look at them!
That's all we have for now folks, here's waiting for more photos to see her full bridal look and jewellery!
