Coronial couples in the last 1 year have gone through alot! From constant uncertainity to scaling down of their dream weddings, they've adjusted to everything. But the one thing that won our hearts again and again was their reselience and the passion to take that step and tie the knot. The love they had for each other and the desire to start the next chapter of their lives as soon as possible.
Shreya & Yash were no different. With a destination wedding planned in Udaipur, the couple had to quickly change their plans when state governments started putting restrictions in place again. The couple had an uphill task - convincing parents, hunting venues, finalising everything in just 3 days! But they did it all, and their celebrations look absolutely breathtaking. We booked our venue in December 2019, in Udaipur for our wedding on 29-30th November 2020. After a year of uncertainty due to Covid-19, we ended up sticking to the venue and dates and finalised everything, from the minutest of details to the decorations, the flights, the sweets, the pagdis everything! I had packed my bags more than a week before our flight which was scheduled on 27th November. On 20th November, the Government of Rajasthan put section 144 along with night curfew and there were rumours of a lockdown around the corner. Suddenly the uncertainties increased manifold and both our parents decided to call off the Udaipur wedding! Our months of planning went down the drain and Yash and I were extremely disheartened. The talks now shifted to doing the wedding in Delhi itself. With heavy hearts, Yash and I agreed to start venue hunting again and to start all our planning from scratch. After 2 days of venue hunting, our parents thought that the Covid-19 was on a rise and that we should cancel the wedding altogether postponing it for a better time. One can't imagine our plight! Everyone was informed about the postponement and people started calling us to check on us. On 28th November, Yash and I decided that we want to get married as soon as possible and do not want to delay any further. We spoke to our parents and convinced them for the same and again started the venue hunting. We had to get married before 6th December anyhow as Yash's brother and sister in law had to fly to Dubai after 7th. We literally finalised the venue, the decor, and every detail in 3 days and had our wedding on 3-4th December 2020 at Leela Ambience Gurgaon. It was the best decision of our lives! We have no regrets and our wedding was nothing short of a dream wedding! Kudos to the team at Leela Ambience and Maple Wedding Events who made sure our wedding was as perfect as we had planned initially! We definitely have a completely filmi story to tell our kids and grandkids!

I ordered my Mehendi outfit online from Papa Don't Preach. Despite being based out of Mumbai, the service that I got was amazing. They helped me out promptly and their team is extremely helpful and friendly. My Sagan/Cocktail outfit was from Shantanu & Nikhil. Wedding outfit was from Falguni Shane Peacock - their team at Ambawatta One is very helpful and friendly.
