Bright and colourful - this Rajasthan destination wedding is totally up on our radar because of it's innovative activities on the mehendi. From pottery-making classes to a laq bangle stall to boot, this is one gala affair beautifully captured by Morvi Images Photography★ 5

Meet Manika & Nihar

"We met in 2010 through friends and didn't really notice each other until 6 months later when we ended up working close to each other. This really started as a friendship and turned into something beautiful. Nihar moved to France for his MBA and we continued on our relationship doing long distance, getting to see each other every few months in different parts of the world!!" explains Manika.

From The Bride:
"Since I have grown up all over the world and we both have friends scattered across the globe, we knew we wanted a destination wedding. What better city than Jaipur where we found our perfect destination to hold all the events, then. My favourite memory is having our family and  friends from all over the world just having a great time! I am very thankful to our friends helped create Bollywood posters of Nihar and myself that looked amazing for the Bollywood-themed Sangeet night and put together a great performance on how we met. The Mehendi was really fun, we had fun stalls - pottery-making, astrology and a live laq chudi stall. The Rajasthani puppet show and the Vintage kaleidoscope were the added attractions," adds Manika. "My outfits were  beautiful - the Mehendi outfit was a beautiful green and when I saw it, I knew this was perfect. Messy look and a sequins sari was my pick for the Sangeet - so chic. I always wanted a traditional look hence the green and red on the wedding lehenga but I wanted a pop of colour and that is why the lehenga has a hint of turquoise. The bead work on it was amazing. My reception look was demure but pretty. I am a big fan of kotis and the Pakistani style of long tops and a skirt - so that was easy! All of our vendors were amazing. I really love Morvi, as a professional photographer, she does a great job! Her pictures tell a story, through them I feel like I am right back at the wedding! She goes the extra mile for the client, so that really was great."
