It's another brand new day - another set of beautiful couture ideas for wannabe brides. There were two designers that pushed the envelope again - from the structured and the seemingly feminine collection by Rahul Mishra to the ultra glam strong silhouettes by Gaurav Gupta.

Rahul Mishra's Feminine & Refined Collection

Rahul Mishra, the newest designer on the couture block enthralled the audiences with his structured, feminine silhouettes at his show  titled “Tree of Life” . It was that emphasis on the soft and the strong that really played to the gallery. There were bomber jackets and sheet tops, V-necked blouses and sheer capes worn breezily on lehengas and saris that really made the collection look wearable and subtle. The bold colours were all about creating an entirely clear monochromatic look. The white collection was by far our favourite - though, it's not really a wedding colour. But the subtle embroideries and the interesting silhouettes really elevated the look. . There were a few maxi dresses and salwar-kurtis which really made a difference to the collection - for the sister of the bride or the mother of the bride! Fabrics used were Chanderi, wool, metallic yarns, silk, cotton, Benarasi tissues and unusual yarns.

Glamazons of India by Gaurav Gupta

Trust Gaurav Gupta to intensify the already exaggerated silhouettes he already puts out in his regular fashion shows. The body-hugging, sheer-enhancing styles were ethereal and cosmic. Perfect for a cocktail or even any of the other night events - his maxi dresses and his draped saris had one thing in common - a textured bodice and loads of bling. There was french lace and intricate embroidery and oodles of surface texturing. The blues were dramatically blue - with sheer capes and blouses and the reds were intricately red with draped trousers and big jackets. Details we adored at Gaurav Gupta were the BOLD accessories by Outhouse Jewellery. Gold dusted cuffs, jaali haathphools, exaggerated ear cuffs , palm cuffs with chain detailing and tons more. Also, the two-jacket lehengas in shell pink and ice grey were absolutely lovely. Sangeet ideas anyone?
