When a fashion curator, who also happens to be the country's most popular tennis player's sister, ties the knot with her beau, it's bound to be a grand affair! So when we finally received Anam and Asad's exclusive wedding photos in our mail box, we weren't surprised one little bit! However, Anam's breathtaking bridal Jora in lavender, the quirky Mehndi attire, and her sartorial choices sure got us intrigued! We completely loved how she added a traditional touch to her wedding day look by wearing a Khara Dupatta with her ensemble, and made for a typical Hyderabadi Muslim bride. Taking it all a notch higher was the ace photography by Kishor Krishnamoorthi Photography & Daa'emi Films , and decorations by Yellow Umbrella Entertainments . Wedding Outfits
The first thing that I decided were my wedding outfits. I wore an Aisha Rao for the Mehndi on day one and then I wore an outfit from Jayanti Reddy, which I always wanted to wear. And then the Khara dupatta came from the boy’s side which is a typical hyderabadi bridal thing that we do. Further, for my reception day, I wore a really long trail and a veil with my reception gown. Lastly, for the after-bash I slipped into something more comfortable. It was a red gown from Monisha Jaising.
Bridal Shoes
Coming to my bridal shoes, one was from Jimmy Choo and the other one was from Louboutin. I also picked one from September (Locally from Hyderabad) which is also a very loved brand by me.
Events & Decor
The first three days of our wedding were done by Yellow Umbrella and they did a brilliant job. Most of our functions were at home and they used the space really well. The wedding day was completely drenched in red and it went with the whole vibe. For the reception, Mintoo did a fantastic job. He sent his designs and they were out of the world. We had this huge structure put up in the centre of the venue and some french artists to keep the guests entertained. We went with a completely white and purple theme for the day, and it looked beautiful.
Makeup
In terms of my makeup artist, there’s somebody who I rely on all the time and that’s Shivani. So I definitely wanted her to be a part of my wedding. She’s from Hyderabad as well. She did my makeup for the Mehndi as well as the second day, which was like an extended Mehndi celebration for the guests.
For the the third day, I picked a very traditional look, so I wanted somebody who does a lot of traditional weddings. Which is why I got Chandni on board. And for my reception and after-party look it had to be Florian Hurel.. He’s so fuss-free, and he literally got me ready in an hour and a half. There wasn’t too much makeup on my face and I was actually having a good time dancing around wearing it.
Wedding Film & Photography
For the wedding films, even before I planned anything else I knew it had to be Daa'emi Films
He’s very close to me and we’ve literally seen Daa'emi grow. Even my friends have always known that I would only get them on board for my wedding. So, it was an obvious choice for me to swear by them for the film and wedding photography.
