First person : "I Wore a 'Non-Bridal' Offbeat Colour at My Wedding...

BY Sakshi | 10 Apr, 2017 | 11627 views | 2 min read

Ditching  the usual reds or pinks, this bride took a chance and experimented with an offbeat colour, which paid off so well don't you think ?  Real Bride Kriti wore a beautiful powder blue at her wedding and against the setting sun, the color worked beautifully. Inspiration much? Read on and see the beautiful photos by The Wedding Conteurs.

"I knew I didn't want the quintessential red but I fell in love with the aqua blue the minute I laid eyes on it, I knew I wanted it. I was also certain I didn't want anything too heavy but wanted something more layered, more playing with fabric than sequence. It's always better to pick something that suits your personality rather than what's norm because I think it amplifies your features and your personality."

"I scouted a bunch of designer stores before I decided to go with Tarun Tahiliani★ 4.6 . His collection was absolutely stunning - understated and unique, in terms of colours and quality of work. I went to the Mehrauli store which I recommend every bride-to-be check out because its spectacular. My lehenga cost Rs 2.5 lakh"

What I loved about it- was that the skirt was actually a beautiful fabric. There was minimal embroidery but the rich fabric really played with light and made it look wedding appropriate. The sleeves were very unique with rings around the net, and the blouse had a lovely neckline with a deep v too.

We especially loved the photography by The Wedding Conteurs, who managed to bring out the beauty of the lehenga in their shots. Kriti says "I wanted candid shots and not traditional ones. It was about capturing my family and friends in their element and that's obvious in the pictures - so much joy, happiness and celebration! I'd recommend them to anyone and everyone who comes looking for a friend and a photographer."
