Friend Of The Bride Style: Meet Vrinda!

BY Sakshi | 18 Jan, 2019 | 1177 views | 3 min read

We are always on the lookout for an amazingly dressed friend of the bride who can dole out some inspiration to others, and this time we have one who nailed the perfect bridesmaid look with some stunning outfits and subtle makeup and jewellery! She was trendy, she was stylish, and that too without going OTT, and what was interesting was that two of her outfits were designed by her mum-in-law! So over to Vrinda now, as she takes us through her different 'friend of the bride' looks!

"So recently I attended a wedding in Jaipur. The guy was a Parsi and the girl a Punjabi. It was a beautiful fusion of two cultures and I wanted to dress up in a way I could enjoy yet project versatility. I also didn't want to feel cold so I chose the clothes depending on the fact I could wear thermal pants underneath!"

Look 1: The Mehendi

So for the mehendi, I wore a ruby red thread and mirrored embroidered blouse, palazzo pants and a sleeveless ruffled jacket from Arpita Mehta. I love how she patiently helped me customize the colors and the work just how I wanted it. I paired it with a choker & earrings from Eurumme. It was easy to dance in this and super easy to carry as it didn't need ironing.

Look 2: The Sangeet

For the Sangeet since I was dancing on the stage, I wanted to bling it up a little. I am an absolute fan of Ritika Mirchandani's young and effervescent designs so I opted for this skirt & off shoulder blouse. I paired it with a Swarovski necklace and diamond earrings from my collection. I prefer my makeup and hair natural always so I left it that way.

Look 3: The Wedding

For the wedding since it was in Rajasthan, I decided to wear something with mirrors. I wore a lehenga made by my mother-in-law Latika Seth, who's a designer by profession. It's a contemporary take on mirror work with a cold shoulder & gypsy kind of lehenga underneath and a heavy dupatta. I paired it with diamond & emerald earrings which I had got made from a local jeweller. Again kept my makeup clean with only some eye shadow play.

Look 4: The Reception

Since the reception was in a Parsi agyari (which also houses the Parsi fire temple) I wanted to wear a Parsi gara work saree. So I chose this beautiful black saree With heavy embroidery on the pallu. Since this saree is so elegant, I decided to keep the jewellery subtle with just earrings from Prerto and some diamond bangles and a Chanel watch. This saree is again the hard work of my very talented mother-in-law Latika Seth

So, which look is your favourite?
