Glam Delhi Farmhouse Wedding Of A Makeup Artist In Pastel Hues!

BY Latha Sunadh | 05 Jul, 2018 | 2559 views | 4 min read

What happens when a makeup artiste finds her match? She designs her look oh so beautifully that you'll see is full of pastel hues and pretty decor ideas, and well, great subtle makeup too. The blue lehenga is a wonderful addition to this love story with it's self-embroidery and a fun sequin belt to go with it. Jewellery was stunning and so were the pastel pink choodas - so cute! The venues, Oodles, Chhattarpur & Mallu Farms offered great spaces to showcase this pretty soiree while photography by Grey Frames★ 5  kept it effortless and stunning!

"We met on a online dating portal by the name, Truly Madly and here we are," says Aarohan.

From The Bride

The day Aarohan proposed, I told him that all of our wedding functions have to have beautiful pastel colours - in decor and in our outfits. Our families were hesitant, but he promised to give me my dream wedding and so this was it! We both wanted to enjoy our wedding functions with friends & family to the fullest so we didn't have a stage for the guests to come wish us. Instead everyone was pulled to the dance floor in each function to have a blast with the bride & the groom. We danced on top of tables, chairs, dhols and what not. If you see most of our wedding photos is us having fun and dancing away. As for my bridal entry, I always knew I was not a conventional bride to make a shy entry so I surprised everyone with a well co-ordinated dance performance on music & dhol with my friends and cousins. Aarohan and our guests were so amused by the entry that I still receive messages and calls from everyone talking about it. Your wedding functions will be one of the best days of your lives, create memories to cherish for a lifetime.

As for our decor, the Eventalist did a great job. Both my Mehendi and wedding functions, were so different. My Mehendi had bold, vibrant shades to work with and my wedding had beautiful decor in pastel hues. Our props and flowers co-ordinated well with the overall theme and on both the days , our venue was ready on time. My jewellery was by Rahul & Sameep by Raabta, the best craftsmanship ever. I had seen their work before on my brides so I was sure I wasn't going anywhere else for jewellery for my wedding functions. Their eye for detail is impeccable, every piece from my jhumkas to matha patti and nath very complimented and I still receive queries from brides to be about the same. Divya from Fooljhadi is just the right blend of quirk and sophistication one needs for their Mehndi function jewellery. She took my inputs and suggested suitable pieces, I wore a matha patti and a long neck piece which wasn't very common, it worked beautifully.

As for my outfits, I was extremely disappointed with this one designer, Shobika Bhandari at my Sagan. Her work is alright, but she lacks professionalism.  My biggest mistake was to customise my outfits , I suggest every bride should pick up ready-made outfits to be stress-free at their wedding outfits. I received my outfit one day before the function and it did not look the way I wanted it. For Makeup, I could only trust my best friend and bridesmaid, Savleen for my wedding. We both have similar style of work, subtle yet glamorous so I knew she was the right choice when I had to think about makeup artist. We worked on three looks with emphasis on eye makeup which is both of ours USP, Savleen gave me sparkly emerald green smokey eyes with nude lips on my Sagan day, fuchsia eyes for the Mehndi function to contrast with my bright yellow lehenga and brown smokey eyes with glossy nude lips for my wedding. There couldn't have been a better choice than Savleen and her magic hands!
