Grand Mumbai Engagement With A Breathtaking Blue Embellished Lehenga

Despite meeting each other through their families for an arranged marriage setup, Meghna and Tanay look very much like teenagers in love in every photo together. But that's the magic of true romance, isn't it? Sometimes it strikes when you least expect it! Naturally, when the two decided to spend the rest of their lives together, it called for a glorious celebration. And their families left no stone unturned in making the eve of their engagement a grand and memorable one. They picked a magnificent venue - The Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai to be host the night and from great music to eclectic décor - everything was top notch. But it's the bride-to-be's outfit that grabbed all our our attention. She dazzled in a a stunning blue embellished lehenga and of course, her beau looked dapper in a suave bandhgala and complemented her to the t. Check 'em out!
Meet Meghna and Tanay
Matched by families in an arranged setup, both Meghna and Tanay had certain apprehensions about it in the beginning. The perfect solution to break the ice? A short getaway to Pune to ease them out. “For us, the trip changed everything. Me being an energetic, eclectic and goofy person, I went all out enjoying our time to the fullest. Tanay on the other hand, being the more mature one here, was so kind and composed that it surprisingly made me realise, a man like this was everything I was looking for.” shares Meghna.
“When I was with Meghna on the trip, is when I truly realised - main toh gaya!” adds Tanay jokingly. He gushes, “There was this woman right in front of me who is completely opposite to me. There was nothing particularly common that I could possibly list down but still, there was a different level of ease in her company. It was in that moment I knew she was the one.”
The Engagement
The couple decided to make it official and celebrate their new beginning with an engagement ceremony on 3rd September 2022. Hosted at the The Taj Mahal, Mumbai, the ceremony was nothing less than a royal affair. With florals dressed beautifully in this heritage space, the evening excluded a regal yet romantic vibe, making for the perfect setup for Meghna and Tanay’s special engagement day. While Meghna looked absolutely breathtaking in the blue embellished outfit by JADE by Monica and Karishma, Tanay aced the dapper look by Raghavendra Rathore Jodhpur.
Marking the beginning of their relationship, the couple exchanged rings, in the presence of their family members and friends, followed by a grand celebration with DJ AJ's spectacular performance. Adding to the excitement, the evening also included a specially curated bar menu by The Wedding Bartenders doing their magic along with the exceptional event planning by FB Celebrations.
