Yep, you heard that right! Maldives is a place that's gorgeous, super trending as a quick honeymoon getaway these days, and getting there just got way easier (plus, it's visa on arrival for Indians, so win-win). A ferry service is now being launched between India and Maldives soon from Kochi to Male in an effort to boost tourism between the two countries, but of course it is greatly going to benefit honeymooners, especially for those looking to have a honeymoon on a budget and without any visa hassles!

While there are flights between the two nations, the shortest one being from Kochi, which takes about an hour and a half, the ferry will take longer, about 24 hours between the two nations. Not really sure about the luxe factor or price details on this one as more details are awaited, but it is definitely something to look forward to if Maldives is on your mind! 

While Maldives is a little expensive to stay in, with high profile resorts costing quite a bit for accommodation and food, it's always a good idea to cut down the days to fit something that suits your financial requirements.
