We love a bride who's quick on her feet and knows exactly what she wants! And Real Bride Ayushi was just that as she customised some great outfits for her wedding! Love her pretty and unconventional Cocktail outfit a She let us in on what she had in mind, where she got them from, and most importantly, how much it cost! Photography by Through the Barrel
was as amazing as always!
The Cocktail Outfit
Cape gown from Agunj for Rs 45,000.
Ayushi says, "For my cocktail event I wanted everything to be unconventional, so, I chose the theme to be contemporary-rustic, I wanted a bright but an unconventional shade for my outfit with a wedding bling to go with the feel. So I customised the green Agunj outfit with a cape and a metre long train!."
The Wedding Lehenga
Customised by karigars in Lucknow for Rs 1.7 Lakhs
"The reason I chose the lehenga was because I wanted a true Indo-Victorian-marsala fusion wedding theme. I chose my lehenga, the room where I got decked up, the wedding banquet which was the Palms Town & Country Club, and the decor, all in line with the theme. The lehenga was from Calcutta's in Style
, Lucknow. Since Lucknow is UNESCO site for zardozi embroidery, I believed that would be the best place to go. The Sabyasachi-inspired lehenga cost me 1.7K, with my own variations to the design switching up the borders and the embroidery and getting an additional batua."
From the bride...
"It was a wonderful wedding, and Pranav Singh, from Through the Barrel captured the very feel of it. My MUA, Anchal Batra, also did a phenomenal job, for I wanted to create a brand that dusky women do not need to put pearl-shade foundation on their face, which makes them look like someone else! She helped make me a beautiful version of myself, which was the great part."
