Now this one is a pre-COVID wedding, but with intimate weddings being the norm, we are sure a lot of brides looking for wedding ideas right now can find inspiration in this one! With a cute hashtag like #ItsAlwaysSunnyforRads, Radhika and Sunny got hitched by the backwaters in Bekal, and we love how fun and gorgeous everything looked. The wedding captured beautifully by Shades by 43 was simple yet pretty, and we loved how the couple managed to plan it and their outfits sitting abroad!

I come from Gujarat and Sunny from Kerala. Our families let us choose our wedding destination and style. Sunny and I both wanted an intimate traditional Kerala wedding with just our favourite people (closest family & friends). Since all of us are scattered all across the globe - from Sydney to the US to Germany to India to London to Africa, we wanted our wedding to be a fun getaway for our guests. Some place where all of us could celebrate, relax & bond!

Taj Bekal Resort & Spa: Kerala has something so magical about it. Lush greenery, backwaters, beaches, food and the people - it ticked every box for us! We chose Taj Bekal Resort & Spa as our venue. Since we planned the wedding from Sydney with the help of a wedding planner based in Mumbai, we really had to research and trust our wedding planners! I picked the venue and had our wedding planners go there to check it out!
The best part about Taj Bekal Resort & Spa is that it has the beach on one side and backwaters on the other so we had our Mehendi & Sangeet by the beach and Wedding by the backwaters! The staff, the rooms, the service, the food and all the extra activities in their property were absolutely exceptional.

The Wedding Soul - I went with The Wedding Soul - they’re planners based in Mumbai. They held our hand through the 8 months of planning and patiently listened to everything we wanted. From venue recces to finding my makeup artist to getting the right decor to the DJ they did it all for us.

Suhana Makeup Studio & Academy - Our Wedding Planners found the makeup artist for me. Suhana of Suhana Make up studio & Academy did my makeup and it was exactly what I had envisioned! She hit it out of the park without any trials, we just had a brief chat of what I wanted and there she was bang on with it! I was so happy with her work! She absolutely nailed all my looks.

Jikson Francis X Shades by 43 - Again with this one, I researched and picked the photographer because I wanted someone based in Kerala who would be well aware of Malayali traditions. I went with a photography company called Shades by 43 and the principal photographer was Jikson Francis! Again I just could not be happier with Jikson’s work! He delivered exactly what I wanted. He was so patient with me and tolerated every single one of my bridal tantrums with a smile on his face. He is such a fun person to be around and to work with and I would highly recommend him!

All my outfits I chose after having multiple video calls with the girls!
Both designers - Aastha Shah and Payal & Zinal are based in Gujarat and are fabulous at their craft. They attended to every single detail and the fittings were absolutely amazing!
