Sasha had her coronial wedding at home in Los Angeles, and if you're looking for a bride to take inspiration from, then she makes for a wonderful candidate! From a mehendi look with a short lehenga and high ponytail to a stunning wedding look in a white lehenga, we absolutely loved everything about her wedding, which looked like a celebration of love and happiness!

“Aamir and I grew up together and had been good friends since we were 15. After going to college together, we realized we wanted something more”, Sasha tells us.

From The Bride: 

We wanted the wedding to feel welcoming and fun, and a mix of traditional and modern. We had our events all at family homes in Los Angeles which made everything so intimate.

My fave moment from the wedding was when all of our family walked in, while I was getting my mehndi done. After so much replanning due to covid - I realized then that the wedding was finally happening!

Bridal Outfits

All of my outfits were Kynah, my sister’s company. She helped me pick out each outfit and look and made sure they were all bridal but also felt like me.

Makeup and Hair

My make up and hair was all done by Drea V Make up - she was such a dream. We talked about inspiration for each look and the style I was going for, and she just ran with it. She always made sure I felt my best! My sister and moms make up was done by Make up by Julie Hirji. Julie made sure that their looks also went with mine - but in their own style.

Wedding Planning

My wedding planner was Nam Lam of Modern LA Weddings. He was with us for the long haul through covid replanning and couldn't be more thankful!

Photography

Vinu Garidipuri was my photographer. I have always been such a fangirl of Vinu’s work, she is so talented and her photos really tell a story about each wedding she shoots. We also had Vellora for videography - they were so fun to work with and we had a great time with the whole photo and video team.

Decor/ Florist

City Flower LA did my flowers and really took the events up a notch!

Mehendi Artist

Neha Assar was my mehndi artist - who I had been admiring for years. She’s so talented and I could not have asked for better bridal mehndi - every detail was beautiful!

Baraat and Choreography

Iman Esmail helped do my choreography and Bollypop LA helped with my family’s dances. We were so thankful to get the help since we were so busy with wedding planning. They both did choreo that helped feel personal but also epic!

DJ

Sodjla’s (Special Occassions) DJ Aamir and DJ Ali were our DJs for both nights. They were awesome and played a range of all the music we wanted - nostalgia Bollywood, top 40, EDM and lots and lots of Drake!

Catering

Shahnawaz Catering (our family favorite) did one night, and Bites and Bashes did our reception with pan Asian cuisine. All the food was delicious!
