Candid Tales photography, this wedding takes us through a journey of struggling to find the perfect lehenga, co-ordinating the madness across continents, but finally it all culminating in a beautiful ceremony where the bride and groom had eyes only for each other.

Aarti recounts : "Kishan and I had been friends for many years and slowly the firndship blossomed into romance. With a blessing from our parents , we bought a flat together and treated ourselves to a holiday on its completion. As I opened the door to my new home with a new set of keys, I turned around to find Kish on one knee- asking me to be his wife"

From the bride: While researching for wedding destinations, Udaipur took our heart . It was the perfect blend of authentic regal architecture and a modern tasteful interior with a 5 star team at your beck and call at Devigarh Palace, which took our breath away. The head chef Sanjeev Sharma takes culinary arts to new heights, each dish was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. We were truly spoilt and to this day guests continue to remark on how incredible the food was.
Since I am very hands on and detail oriented, I chose not to hire a planner though on hindsight that wasn't the best choice.
I should have hired a planner as a destination wedding brings with it a whole set of logistical issues to deal with. For my bridal lehenga, I had my heart set on a timeless
elegant antique raw silk lengha in my traditional Rajput wedding colours; orange and green. Having accepted I would need to customize I picked the design I loved and the colours from different outfits and my order was placed at Frontier Raas in Delhi . I was told the outfit would be ready in 6 weeks and left with a big smile on my face.
But 6 weeks went and countless failed attempts to contact the store and speak to manager. Eventually the floor manager responded stating the outfit would be ready in 2 months time. Obviously I was not happy as this left me with very little time to purchase and match my accessories, but I had no choice but to accept this. I requested the colour samples once again which fell upon deaf ears.
Out of desperation I contacted Rishabh from Candid Tales (our photographer) to see if he could go to the store and get some answers as I had no family or friends in Delhi. To my shock Rishabh found the lengha had been made. Poor quality photos were sent from the factory, which showed the outfit was not made in the colour I had chosen and the blouse design was completely wrong.
With tears in my eyes, being 1000’s of miles away and constantly ignored I didn’t know what to do. Rishabh managed to arrange to get the outfit sent to the store so he could see it and at the same time a friend of mine was visiting Delhi, so she was able to send me pictures of the outfit and bring home some fabric samples.
Miracles do occur and a week to go before my flight the outfit arrived, thankfully with no adjustments required. Though not the colours I had chosen the overall outfit was beautiful but the service of this store was despicable. No bride should have to go through what I went through.
The sheer rudeness and insensitive nature of the staff clearly shows they have no concept of customer service or satisfaction.
Looking back at our photographs by Candid Tales brings us so much joy, we love them all and are so proud to share them with you- right from the beautiful pre wedding shoot they did for us a few months before the wedding to the wedding itself and all the extra effort taken by Rishabh to make us feel comfortable .
