Outfit Inspiration From Bollywood: The Festive Looks To Bookmark!

BY Chandni Kumar | 14 Sep, 2018 | 5795 views | 4 min read

Yay! I am super-duper excited because it's that time of the year when roads will be blocked, shopping centers will be packed and sweet shops will be over crowded. Guess, what? It's the time of festivals where everyone is filled with excitement and happiness - Ganpati, Dussehra and Diwali. Well, what else do we do during the festivities? We STALK. We stalk celebs and their Indian outfits and bookmark their lehenga details. We also did the same and got inspired by some real cool merch - just see the list of our favourite ladies and tell us how we can copy-cat them at our mehendi / sangeet or even haldi.

Athiya Shetty in Rahul Mishra

You may wear any fashionable outfit for festivals but anarkali suit is something that will never go out of fashion. Popular for handmade techniques Rahul Mishra designed this gorgeous piece of creativity for actress Athiya Shetty. With a pretty hand-embroidered zellige anarkali and jaal dupatta this lime-green suit is perfect who wants to wear a soft colored outfit for the festival celebrations.

Sanya Malhotra in Raw Mango

We're surely seeing that many celebrities are opting for shararas or long kurta with lehenga skirt instead of going for a typical lehenga. Similarly, Sanya Malhotra  wore a bottle green outfit by Raw Mango for Ganesh Chaturthi paired with a simple choker to complete the look. With a printed long kurta and she ensured to wear a plain lehenga skirt that made her looked simple yet classy at the same time and Yes! this type of outfit style is perfect for the Indian festivals.

Karishma Kapoor in Manish Malhotra

Karisma Kapoor looked gorgeous for Ganpati ceremony by bring back an old elegant silhouette in a bespoke marigold color with thread work while, keeping it very simple and chic for the festival. This bright yellow kurta and pants are designed by Manish Malhotra is something that you should definitely bookmark for the festivals.

Kareena Kapoor in Raw Mango

Kareena Kapoor Khan knows how to style it for every event. Be it a bridesmaid in Sonam Kapoor's wedding or walking on the ramp she always takes our heart away with her outfits and accessories. For ganesh chaturthi celebration she chose to wear a marigold color like her sister and picked a benarasi yellow kurta and sharara by Raw Mango that was paired beautifully with a bright pink dupatta. To keep is simple and minimal she wore amrapali jewelry with a cute embroiderer potli bag and twinned with juttis.

Malaika Arora in Simar Dugal

We would not be wrong to say that 2018 is the season of shararas. Instead of not going for a lehenga 'the munni badnaam hui' aka Malaika Arora actress picked a parrot green sharara by Simar Duggal and paired it perfectly with an embroidered bag from Vipul Shah. Much outfit inspiration, right?

Ananya Pandey in Manish Malhotra

Super excited Ananya Panday for her upcoming film - Student of the year 2 also, chose to wear a sharara for the ganpati celebrations. Picking a bright rani pink sharara suit with gold gottapati by Manish Malhotra this young actress made us in love with her outfit. Also, brownie points to that beige simple dupatta.

Illeana in Ridhi Mehra

Who said you have to go very jazzy and overdo with your festive outfits? Well, we super loved this breezy red anarkali suit by Ridhi Mehra and Illeana perfectly paired this with red printed dupatta and antique earrings that made her look gorgeous on this ganpati celebrations.

Sophie in Sukriti & Aakriti

You would also agree with us that blue, pale blue, purple and gold colors are something that is catching up this season. While many brides-to-be are opting for pastel you can also choose to wear a light printed pale blue with purple tone outfit something like what Sophie wore for the ganpati celebrations. With a long kurta and lehenga skirt her outfit making it look breezy and light, Sophie Chaudhary looked beautiful in Sukriti & Aakriti outfit for Ganesh Chaturthi making it look like a traditional outfit totally.

Did you love these festive outfits from Bollywood actress? Well, we surely did! Which outfit will you pick for this festival season?
