Pantone's color of the year is 'Marsala' !

Every year the Pantone color institute picks a color that it feels will be the trend in fashion, beauty, houseware , packaging and everything else in the coming months ! 2014 was Radiant Orchid- a deep purple, the year before that was Emerald green and previously it was Tangerine Tango “Hardy, robust, satisfying, fulfilling. At the same time there’s a certain glamour that’s attached to this color,”  said executive director of the Pantone Color Institute -describing this years color pick which is called Marsala  - a deep wine red which is already starting to be spotted at Indian weddings. We wonder if that is a legit name or does Pantone give a name to colors too because we would have just called it wine red or burgundy ! Arpita Khans mehendi lehenga was Marsala colored, and marsala colored invitations with ivory are already flying thick and fast...
