Our favourite Sabya piece from his previous collection was the high waisted floral skirt with the sheer top and we were waiting to get a sighting of it on a real bride. Well we just did. And we've not seen many brides in peplum either and she knocks the style out of the park. Other amazing things about this wedding, the custom-made groom dupatta that is bonkers, the bridesmaid shots that are so well-coordinated and of course, the ice sculptures - it's a riot. Meet Vick & Rimple
"We actually met in high school at David Thompson Secondary. Vick was after me for about two years before I finally decided to give him a chance (he was very persistent). We started dating in 2003 in grade 10. This September will be 14 years for us. We got our closest family and friends together at the beautiful UBC boathouse in Richmond and held our engagement party there where Vick proposed to me. The date of the event was very significant and meaningful to us, September 15th which was our anniversary from when we first started dating 13 years prior to that" explains Rimple.

"We had been battling some bad weather on an incredibly late start to Spring, however on the
day of the wedding it all turned around with an absolutely warm gorgeous day. We got married
at Nanak Niwas in Richmond, one of our most favorite temples.My most favourite moment definitely was right after our Laavaan (Four Hymns of Anans Karaj) as I was incredibly relieved that I managed to not fall! Phew!
Our wedding was absolutely extravagant, timeless and elegant. Beyond our expectations. We could not have been happier with how perfect everything turned out from the food, décor, and entertainment. You can imagine planning for a 1000+ person party was not an easy
task! However, our wonderful vendors made it happen. Guests entered the venue through a beautiful white carpet entrance with crystal chandeliers dazzling above by Koncept Event Design.
Cocktail hour presumed in the lobby and patio with refreshments and tapas, followed by a champagne entrance into the ballroom. We shortly afterwards made our grand en
trance down our custom chandelier walkway to Part II (On the Run) by Jay Z & Beyonce. It was magical. Hollywood Harv was our MC for the night and surely kept the crowd laughing away. BC Cultural Bhangra Academy opened the night with their vibrant and heart felt performance, followed by a beautiful custom aerial silks performance by Inner Ring Circus. Next we cut our beautiful 5 tier fresh floral cake by Amazing Cakes and had our first dance to Dangerously in Love by Beyoncé. All our beautiful guests joined for the second dance and the reminder of the night was history once DJ 808 of Decibel took over that dance floor!" explains Rimple.
"For my wedding, I wore a piece by Indian fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherji called the Pale Pink Lavender Jaal Lehanga. It was embellished with gold sequins and the techniques of embroideries used were aari and gota patti. I chose the full sleeve kedia blouse with it. For the Reception, it was Sabyasachi once again! This was from his latest Spring Couture 2017 Udaipur Collection called the Ivory Organza Lehanga. It had silk hand painted florals and a beautiful tulle blouse that was embellished with crystal beads. Wonderful makeup and hair credits go to Pink Orchid Studio. They truly completed these looks. Vick wore an Ivory Tarun Tahiliani sherwani for the wedding, complemented with a black turban and black velvet shawl detailed with Dabka embroidery by Wellgroomed. His Reception look was from designer Tom Ford head to toe. The cocktail jacket was a hand sewn design in black honeycomb. Complemented with a tuxedo shirt and classic black bow-tie" adds Rimple.
