Pretty Chandigarh Wedding With A Bride Who Wore Her Mother's Bridal Dupatta

BY Swagata Dam | 19 Aug, 2022 | 2609 views | 3 min read

Our mothers are always the heart of any celebration at home. So was Bride Harsheen's mom during her wedding celebrations. She recalls, "My mother mostly planned everything. All the credit goes to her. Without her, none of the plans would've turned out the way they did, especially during Covid," While her mommy dearest planned her entire wedding, Harsheen too, did something to make her mum feel incredibly special. To honour and celebrate their bond, Harsheen wanted to wear the same dupatta with her bridal outfit that her mom had worn on her wedding day - 26 years ago. Thanks to Frontier Raas★ 4.3 , she was able to pull that off along with a gorgeous customized outfit. Not to mention, the much-in-love couple looked stunning and happy in every function, in every frame. I guess, that's how love is, it radiates.

Meet Harsheen and Sukhmanjit

"We met in 2018 at my husband's home in the US. But we fell in love much later coincidentally during Covid," shares the bride.

Engagement

Mehendi

Wedding

From The Bride:

We wanted royal theme for the engagement. So we decided to do a black and red theme with red roses all over. For the Mehendi, we wanted to do a traditional Punjabi themed wedding. So we had colorful phulkari chunnis for women, vibrant kurtas for men, and even the food was all traditional Punjabi. For the Anand Karaj, my husband and I wanted a royal look so that our outfits fit that theme.

I wore a Dolly J outfit for my engagement. It was super elegant but not too blingy - exactly how I wanted it to be. It was superb. For the wedding, I picked a custom made ensemble as I wanted it to be the way I had pictured it. The designer (Frontier) took my mom's chunni from her wedding and designed it accordingly. I always wanted to wear my mom's dupatta that she wore at her wedding (26 years ago), and I’m blessed I got to do that.

Sukhmanjit wore a Hugo Boss suit with Christian Louboutin dress shoes for the engagement. For the wedding, I got his outfit customized for him by Dulha House.
