If you're someone with sensitive or problem skin, then the most important thing you pray and wish for in the run up to the wedding is that your skin should not break out!!! I mean we've all had those days when we wake up on the morning of an 'occasion' only to be horrified by a zit on the cheek or chin! So, how do we make sure that does not happen on the big day? WedMeGood asked some real brides who got married recently to dish out their bridal skin secrets! Bride 1: Sonakshi Saxena, Fashion Merchandiser “I underwent a 3-day juice cleanse a month before my wedding which really made a difference to my skin! The juices would be delivered every morning, with specific instructions on what time to have each. No eating, only juices for three days!” Bride 2: Prachi Malhotra, Pilot “An erratic schedule like mine can really take a toll on the skin. I made it a point to apply multani mitti often, drank loads of water and slept for at least 8-9 hours in the run up to the wedding to ensure glowing skin on my big day!” Bride 3: Rucheet Purba, Dentist “I made sure to use besan and malai everyday for a month before the D-day to make sure my skin remained perfect for my wedding! It's a bit tedious to stick to, but I swear by this for glowing skin!” Bride 4: Manisha Sarin, Interior Designer "Beetroot is my magic veggie... adding it to my diet is the best decision I have taken for my skin! My skin glows " Bride 5: Sakshi Saxena, Journalist “I have extremely moody acne-prone skin, so I did not experiment with products before the wedding. I stuck to what the dermatologist recommended and got microdermabrasion done 2 months prior to the wedding, which made a big difference to the texture of my skin!”
Bride 6: Maulishree Sinha, Fashion Buyer
"I made it a point to have lukewarm water with lemon and honey as the first thing after waking up for quite a while before the wedding. I also got an oxygen facial a few days before my wedding which made my skin glow!"
Bride 7: Mehak, Founder at WedMeGood
There are Vitamin E face capsules you get from a local chemist. You break them open and apply to your face at night. I used these at night for my dry skin and also to even out my skin tone. Also a "Casmara" facial is amazing. It costs Rs. 1,800 but the effects last for a good 5-7 days!
