Would you look at these super cute, super original taglines on badges that this couple gave out for their fun haldi ceremony? Our favourites were  Melodramatic Mummy and Bali Ka Bakra . This one has drama, fun and loads of candid moments and ideas that most brides can get inspired by. Right from designing invitations shaped like boarding passes to Goa to the unique comic book centerpieces (We want to sit at the Archies table), this one's a lot of fun, so take a look. Meet Shivani & Nihar
"We met in college in a café. One of the earlier memories that Nihar remembers is that I told off a guy who was being pretentious and rude. He thought it was hilarious that I spoke my mind when everyone chose not to. Later on, we started meeting for chocolate milk and chocolate chip cookies – he drank the milk and I ate the cookies," laughs Shivani.

The Wedding & Reception

From The Bride:
"Both of our families reside in different areas of the world and we decided to choose India because of our grandparents. We contemplated many different areas in India such as New Delhi, Jaipur, Goa etc. At one point I remember being very overwhelmed from the decision of picking a place in India and the way we choose the location was that Nihar played some psy trance music, we closed our eyes and sat listening to the track. Once the track was done both of us agreed Goa was going to be the perfect location for us," adds Shivani.

" We were actively involved in planning the wedding. It involved lots of spreadsheets, online research and late night phone calls to India. We actually loved the WMG website. I can’t begin to tell you how many couples I stalked on the website, the number of wedding planners, make-up artists, photographers, outfits, practically everything! I honestly want to thank you guys (Wed Me Good) for helping guide couples like us, your site was truly insightful," says Shivani.

"About the outfits, since we already had chosen Goa as the destination for the wedding, we really wanted to have the wedding outside and wanted our clothing to be mindful of the beauty of Goa.
Since Nihar requested me to shop for him as well as he was very disinterested in any shopping, I ended up going to Manyvar and picking clothes to match my outfits. Since he did leave the shopping to me, I ended up getting a safa that was apparently too short for his head! We ended up tying together bunch of men’s stole (chunni) to make one large piece clothing to make DIY pagdi. Then my brother offered his Kurta’s brooche to give the DIY safa a nice finishing look. The DIY safa was so much more elegant than the store bought safa ever did – It was my absolute favorite," laughs Shivani.

"Our photographers are amazing!! They took the time to make us feel comfortable especially since we only talked over the phone when we finalized everything. When we reached Goa and met them for the first time, they really made us feel welcomed and really helped us through the wedding process. They gave us so many tips and tricks to help us throughout the wedding. Most importantly they took the time to meet and mingle with the families and captured the moments in a beautiful manner," adds Shivani.

"Some fun things we did at the wedding:
1. We decided to have customized badges for all our guests with tags like Melodramatic mummy, dulhan ka pehla hero, Bali ka bakra (for the groom). My favorite story is when my family went local shopping in Goa wearing the badges and one of the shopkeepers asked about them.

2. We also ended up customizing the reception-seating chart. Another earlier cherished moment Nihar and I shared was that we both watched Adult Swim together on Cartoon Network. This was the inspiration behind the seating chart made with our favourite cartoon/comic characters and how they related to people grouped on the table. One example is the Singles table was tagged as the Johnny Bravo table.

3. As for our invites, we designed them ourselves and had them printed at a print shop. They were made to resemble boarding passes with Goa map luggage tags.

4. There was also holi on the beach after the haldi!! Can you believe it? " adds Shivani.
