Have we mentioned before that we try to never miss a Tarun Tahiliani show? We don't know what it is really - whether its the sparkling little crystals that light up the stage or the impeccable styling, but his shows always have that one 'take your breath away' moment that you just cannot afford to miss. This time at Couture week, his 2016 presentation had some absolutely stunning bits. Special thanks to Tarun Chawla Photography for these gorgeous snaps.

Rest of the Collection

Our thoughts: When you have a show titled "The last dance of the Courtesan", you expect a fair bit of drama and drama there was with Sufi Kathak dancer Manjari weaving magic through the ramp. What followed was a collection with intricate detailing of mokaish, chikankari and a generous dose of sparkling swarovski crystals. A couple of things which were absolute favourites - the blouses with the scalloped sleeve edges in velvet (the one in deep red with the white saree is lust at first sight), the off white sarees with intricate mokaish work, the absolutely stunning peach peplum lehenga, and the softer hues. The sarees were the highlight for us- they were classics made contemporary with unique blouse styles. While we felt the collection could have done without the pieces in black, and our favourites remained the pastels vs the bolder colours, overall there were definitely some pieces every bride would covet in her wardrobe. Also- take note of the draping styles- who knew dupattas could be draped in so many different ways. Photo credits: Tarun Chawla Photography Follow WedMeGood on Instagram for Live show updates
