The Ultimate Sangeet Day Checklist For Brides!

BY Sakshi | 04 Oct, 2021 | 7280 views | 2 min read

The Sangeet is almost every time the most fun event everyone has on their wedding. It's the day the bride and the groom can let their hair down and go crazy- celebrating with friends and fam and a lot of booze- of course optional! But it can be a little too intimidating, especially when you know in your head that the night has to be carefree and easy- so plan ahead to make sure it remains that way! Here's the ultimate Sangeet Day checklist for brides to ensure your Sangeet or Cocktail is hassle-free and heaps of fun!

The Morning Of

  • Have your outfit steam ironed in the morning and let it hang all opened up.
  • Decide a dupatta drape that will let you dance freely if wearing a lehenga
  • Reconfirm timings with your vendors like MUA, photographer and DJ.
  • Send the song order in your 'performances Whatsapp group' so everyone knows where they come in.

Before The Event

  • Designate one person to coordinate all Sangeet performances.
  • Dance a little after getting ready and check whether you are comfortable doing it.
  • Carry a change of shoes if you're wearing heels so you can dance the night away in comfort.
  • Carry a touch up kit so you can refresh your makeup in between dancing.
  • Confirm with your videographer whether you want all the performances recorded.

At The Venue

  • Designate one person to coordinate all Sangeet performances.
  • Have your pre-event shoot with the photographer so you can get enough shots before the party starts! Trust us, you may not have enough family photos later on.
  • If you plan to have games, make sure whatever you need for them is sorted.
  • Browse and confirm the song list the DJ has decided on.
  • Finalise on your couple entry with music, if you plan to have one.
  • And if you have a couple song queued for your performance, make sure the DJ knows the transition to it.
  • Have Fun!

After The Party

  • Make sure you haven't left anything behind - like those discarded pair of heels!
  • Make payment to the DJ if needed.
