This Bride Designed Two Of Her Bridal Outfits, & We Are Seriously Impressed!

Brides these days are blowing our minds with their creativity, and we love how they know EXACTLY what they want for their bridal outfits- that is maybe why we find so many brides these days who choose to design their own bridal outfits instead of picking them off the rack, and here is one more talented bride who wowed us with the effort she put into ideating and creating not just her bridal lehenga, but her Mehendi outfit too. Over to real bride Aanchal, who tells us all about it!

"The whole intent was to make my bridal look contemporary yet ethnic, it was a fresh take on rather traditional stereotype of an Indian bride!"

The Bridal Lehenga designed by the bride

"I always wanted to be a ‘pink bride’ and with pink I didn’t want just a monotone pink! So, I went for shades of pinks. The lehenga skirt was an ombré from powder pink to hot pink, and the blouse was a fresh pink while dupatta was a synergy of the two colours. The floral embroidery design was with a hint of red French knots, and instead of opting for a standard border for the skirt, I went for gold scallops and pleated ruffles peaking from within!

"To put together the entire look, I got customised red and gold bangles, a polki set and a traditional haar with a big Kundan nath."

The Mehendi Outfit designed by the bride

"It was all about vibrant colours! Whenever the term, ‘mehendi’ came to my mind, I thought of flirtatious and exuberant colours! That is why I designed an all embroidered colourful knee length skirt, with pearls as tassels on the hem! This went with an all-gold blouse with huge chunks of mirrors! Gold, according to me for an Indian wedding will never disappoint, and to keep the focus on just the outfit, I wore huge customised earrings- and that’s about it- the whole ensemble had a flirty, exuberant and vibrant vibe!"

The Customised Cocktail Gown

"The colour red, is ALWAYS associated with the bride, how could I NOT wear it for one of my functions! Went for a Red ball gown instead- designer @jaykumarmakhija did an excellent job by deciphering the kind of gown I had in my mind. He did a monotone embroidery just till the waist and let the magnanimous cowls do the talking!"

DIYs are our favorite but you might not get you might not have time to customise your outfit. Well, fret not, give a break to lehenga shopping with WMG
