When a makeup artist gets married, it's a given that her bridal look will be one to take massive inspiration from. And that is exactly why we are currently crushing on this bride's wedding look. She had a soft makeup, completely in sync with her bridal lehenga and also in tune with the dusky wedding, and a setting sun in the background. Shimmery eyes, peachy lips and a really light blush on the cheeks completed her look. But it wasn't just her look that gave our hearts a lurch. Other elements we loved from this wedding were the minimalist decor, the intimate setting, the limited gathering and how the couple coordinated their outfits to the wedding theme! Shruti pens down a few lines about her wedding, "We had an intimate, simple ceremony attended by close family members and friends in the beautiful vineyards of Stellenbosch, Cape Town. Jai and I wanted to celebrate our union in the company of our loved ones without getting bogged down by expectations (...and dare I say pesky relatives) that typically accompany a big, fat wedding. The vineyards in Stellenbosch were beautiful and our days spent there were the most memorable ever. We fell in love with the rainbow nation - its people, culture, landscapes and so much more - during an earlier visit and when the time came to finalize our wedding location South Africa was a unanimous choice!"

DotDusk - Talented, creative, avant garde, and humble. I always had them in mind for our wedding and was overjoyed when they agreed. They put in a great deal of research, time and effort in planning the pictures with us. They encouraged us to participate in their creative process making it a visceral, collaborative experience capturing our emotions in the most beautiful way possible. As far as their photography is concerned, Jai and I both knew right from the start how gifted they are and the incredible pics are testimony to that fact. It is indeed very tough to decide which pics to select for framing. The best part is that despite being the champions of their craft they are so easy going, amicable and grounded (oh add super hilarious to that list of adjectives!). When dear friends happen to be great photographers the outcome is pure MAGIC.
Leana Nienaber, our wedding planner from Just Jack Weddings and Events was a godsend! She truly understood what we had in mind and executed that with such meticulous planning resulting in an absolutely beautiful and stress free wedding for us. Planning a foreign destination wedding from India, as one would imagine, can be a huge challenge; Leana helped navigate these hurdles allowing Jai and I the much needed peace of mind ahead of a momentous occasion; she was literally our ears and eyes on the ground. She took out time to understand even the smallest of details that were important for the ceremonies and events, and in the process delivered beyond our expectations. She weaved together the best aspects of traditional Hindu and western weddings (read DREAM wedding). Decor, lighting, floral themes, food, logistics, entertainment, vendor coordination, gift hampers..phew that’s quite a list..Leana aka Wonder Woman managed these and more! Words aren't enough to explain how amazing she is and we both highly recommend her to couples who are considering South Africa for a destination wedding.
Abhishek Sharma - Abhishek's work is like no other. When we went to him for our outfits he sat down with us and drew sketches from scratch according to what we would like and what would work for us in terms of our design aesthetics, body types, wedding location/theme, and even the time of the wedding ceremony. For me he made a peachy, pink lehenga with lustrous little beads embroidered all over. I really felt happy, proud and beautiful wearing his ever-so-perfect creation, made just for me :) For Jai, he created an ivory bandhgala with an asymmetrical draped kurta inside, giving it a modern and edgy twist to a classic design. The outfit perfectly matched Jai’s personality. What I also liked about Abhishek was his attention to detail. For example he chose an appropriate fabric for the bandhan to ensure it went with our looks and outfits. The end result: a timeless, classic look for both of us which was consistent with the wedding theme.
Shantanu & Nikhil - I picked up my cocktail dress from Shantanu & Nikhil one week before I was supposed to fly out and I was so pleasantly surprised with how professional and thorough their team was. Each element of the outfit was finished to perfection and they even delivered before the expected delivery date of the outfit! And of course the cocktail dress was beautiful :)
MolenVliet Oosthuizen Family Vineyards was an excellent venue choice for our wedding. The estate was absolutely picture perfect and the rooms luxurious. The staff went an extra mile each day to make our stay very comfortable. An estate perfect for weddings or even a holiday. I really wish we could stay longer just basking in the gorgeous winter sun amidst the sprawling vineyards and being pampered like royalty. It’s for a reason MolenVliet is rated among the best wedding destinations in the world.
ISAAC Wellness Clinic - I started availing their services early on for laser hair removal and was very apprehensive about trying out anything else. One meeting with Dr Geetika Mittal allayed all my concerns. She is an excellent person to meet a few months before the wedding as she really works with you to understand the skin concerns you may have and creates plans that are suited just for you and your big day. Treatments like Dermafrac or PRP were instrumental in overhauling my skin. A big shout out to them for making my not so young skin glow out before the wedding! With their treatments, the pores on my skin reduced to a great extent and glow was just amazing. Also want to thank Dr Vidushi from their team and all the staff who patiently answered all the questions I had and made me feel really comfortable.
Wedmegood - For being the perfect app really, for all brides to be. Only I know how many pics I have saved from their instagram. Theirs is the most extensive repository of pictures and information about anything and everything to do with weddings and Jai and I were hooked on to the site which really has answers to every question possible!
Prathyusha Garimella - I bought my yellow photoshoot dress from them after looking at their instagram. And considering the fact that they had never met me, they did a commendable job in making a dress that fit me well and shipped it on time as well!
Asit Barik - He created my fluffy lavender dress and a classic tweed suit for Jai. Asit understood our brief really well and coupled amazing contemporary designs with great fittings. Jai and I absolutely loved the outfits (along with Asit’s company which made for a lot of fun and laughter).
Divay Dua - It’s not easy to teach dance moves to a couple with two left feet (actually four left feet if you want to get scientific about it). Divay did just that while ensuring that Jai and I had an absolute blast during our dance lessons. Suffice to say we nailed the wedding dance (we are not as humble as our talented team of vendors) and it was all thanks to a patient, gifted choreographer. Pick your dance form and music genre and Divay will ensure you get your moves right!
