This Modern Florida Wedding Was Full Of Zest & Style!

Now here is a bride who experimented on almost each of her wedding functions. Whether it was her ruffled lehenga on her mehendi or her bridal lehenga in an offbeat hue of purple, Zeel was a bride to reckon with for inspiration. Akshar and Zeel had their wedding in Orlando, and it was pretty refreshing! The wedding was a good mix of timeless and luxe, and we loved how the celebration seemed grand, yet intimate! 

Meet Zeel and Akshar

My brother and Akshar’s cousin are best friends. I was busy living my life and enjoying my bachelorette years. However my brother couldn’t bear the fact I was having too much fun, so he wanted to me talk to this man miles away from me. So my brother and his best friend decided to act on the idea and told us to talk to each other and see if we could be friends at least. After talking for a day or two we both discovered our families knew of each other for many years since they were all in the same circle but me and Akshar never even accidentally crossed paths at any party or wedding. We talked for a month or so on Facetime and I told my dad I like this guy who is miles away and I don't even if we would work out or even have a full conversation in person. Fast forward to our first meeting/date, little did I know this amazing person who flew in from Florida to New York City to go on a first date with me would become my whole life. I called up my dad after our first date and told him he is the one. I like to say that our families swiped right on the idea of us before we swiped right on each other.

Our wedding was on April 17th, 2021. My style is very eclectic, creative, everything floral yet timeless. I love colors and experimenting with them; which decided a lot of themes and colors for each event along with our outfits styles. As we planned our wedding in less than 4 months, it was a challenge to find a great makeup artist who would be availabe in the time of covid. So glad I chose to get my makeup done for pheras and reception from Alex. She was amazing!

Ragini and Sima did a fabulous job putting the decor together with all the themes we described to them for each event. So easy and courteous to work with. They fulfilled all my florals dreams.

Bridal Outfits

Mehendi: Vesture. She created the outfit from a rough sketch I drew. I chose ruffled skirt and one shoulder top to match our theme of music/casino festival,

Wedding ceremony: Anita Dongre. I chose to wear anita dongre violet lehenga from jaipur love. I wanted something that would never go out of fashion and style.

Reception: Seema Gujral. I decided to wear a neutral color to go with our grand and classic theme of white for reception. Lehenga has beautiful pearl details.

Groomwear

Mehendi: Siddhesh Chuahan. It was Jodhpuri designed to match my top, Haldi: Kolony Tailors, Wedding Ceremony: Siddhesh Chauhan. An offwhite custom stitched sherwani and saffa with offwhite and silver thread work to match the motifs of my anita dongre outfit. Dupatta is from Anita Dongre, Reception: Suit Supply.

DJ/Entertainment: M4U events
