This Wedding Took Place At An Ancient 11,000 Year Old Temple & Was Stunning!

There is something special about temple weddings- they have the grandeur and old world charm that hardly any other wedding venue can replicate, and for good reason. And this was one wedding which was super special- it took place at an ancient temple, which was transformed into a gorgeous wedding venue thanks to the brilliant expertise of Devika Narain and team!

Inspired by the Dev Diwali, the eleven thousand-year-old Ammapalli Temple in Hyderabad was restored to create the backdrop for the wedding of Yuthika and Nirav.

This wedding was stunning to say the least, with lots of votives all over and looked opulent and grand like no other wedding we've seen before!

The backdrop was a gorgeous red floral wall and the entire look was complemented with tassels of Rajnigandha giving it extra glam.

The Ammapalli Temple is a sanctum sanctorum with the three idols of Site, Rama and Lakshmana that were carved out of a single stone. Even the Makara Torana (the arch above the idol) was carved out of a single piece of rock.

Working around the number nine to represent the nine elements that form the basis of everything according to the Hindu mythology, each detail epitomized the temple's culture.
