Trending: Wedding Tattoos

You know I have always dreamt of getting my wedding ring engraved with  a line from "The Sex and the City" movie. Well actually not the actual movie exactly but the book Carrie reads in the movie “Love letters of great men- Volume 1”. You know this book really didn’t exist till the SATC movie was released? And then it became a sought after title so it was actually published. Am I straying from the topic??

Ok so the line was "even thine…ever mine…ever ours…” It is a line from the love letter Ludwig Van Beethoven wrote to his beloved! It means…he is ever hers as she is ever his….they are ever one!  Just writing it gives me goosebumps and while getting your rings engraved is a common trend (hey see one of our featured Engagements here where they have one of the most romantic ring engraving stories ever! )  the recent trending thing is to get it tattooed!! Yes…matching wedding tattoos is something I am seeing a lot these days …one of my friends and her fiancé got their wedding date tattooed on the side of their ring fingers.

Ok so the deal is…It is not a custom. It is just an expression of saying that I love you enough to change my physical personality forever for you. Not everyone gets them done nor are they supposed to! If you feel like getting something as a mark of one of the most special days of your life, there are some really beautiful ideas which you can work upon for a unique and personal tattoo to remind you of your wedding day.

Absolutely love the "LV" and "OE" tattoos that join together to form love. Only people might think LV stands for Louis Vuitton :p   If you do not feel the need for going under the tattoo machine to prove your love for anybody, you forgot that we come from the land of wedding tattoo –Henna or Mehendi! In my opinion, it is the prettiest tattoo one can ever get. Me, I will get both! A stunning mehendi on my wedding and a permanent symbol of love later: D
