What's Your Ideal Wedding Photograph? These Beautiful Answers Just Seal The Deal for Us!

BY Sakshi | 31 Aug, 2016 | 1386 views | 4 min read

What exactly is an ideal wedding picture? If we only knew that, we'd all be copying it and sending to it our photogs asking them to put it on their checklist. But the beauty of life and people is that, everyone has their own version / idea of an ideal picture. So when users on Quora were asked in a thread to send in their favourite wedding photos, explaining why they love them - they jumped at it and we did too (what? we're curious cats!). There were some super cute and touching replies, and here are our favourites! Amateur Photographer Shalvi Shrivastava says, "When the Bride as well as the Groom are not aware that they are being snapped. The bride is my sister and I clicked this photo in the most candid moments, and they were caught unaware. This photo turned out to be better than others contrived ones." main-qimg-1824e0b2fcef6ce8685c11c17c4e62b1-c

Amateur Photographer Gurmeet Kaul Nakhwal explains, This :D

I had been searching for ideal wedding photo and then my soul saw it and it kind of went " Oh there, you are. I've been looking for you. Mixture of Cultures, Beautiful ambiance - few close friends and my love."

Amateur photographer Aditi Adhlaka says, "Sharing a favourite from my sister in law's wedding, recently. I'm a strictly candid camera person and usually hide in corners to click people being themselves. Absolutely natural." Akriti Kakar weds Chirag Arora. #akirag

Jayashree Ravi says, "Whenever I dreamt of getting married, I have always imagined my face going through a myriad of expressions. I'm from South India, and as per our family's traditions, I got married as I sat on my father's lap. My husband tied a 'mangalsutra' or the holy thread around my neck. I'd have to say my photographer did an AMAZING job as he struggled to get a few inches of space for the angle. It was THE ideal photo I'd always wanted."

Deepthi Jyotish says, "I still remember my mum's eyes filled with tears when she saw me for the first time in my wedding attire."

Wedding Photographer at Love Confetti, Samantha Zeng says "I'm speaking from the point of view of a lady who has ever dreamt of getting married. To me, my ideal wedding photo would be one where you capture the couple's heartfelt happiness at the moment. It doesn't have to be at an extravagant setting or anything of that sort. It's simple things like the way they look at each other, the way he steals a glance at her or the way she tidies his attire for him."

Noopur K Kalawatia says "Well this isn't my wedding photo, but of my brother and bhabhi. I absolutely love this picture and adore it from all my heart. My bhabhi and my brother have a relatively big height difference and even though she was wearing heels she had to either jump for the varmala (exchange of Garlands) or my brother had to bow his head. While we made my brother to stand still(to his dismay, believe me he was more than ready to bow) my bhabhi found it really difficult to put the garland, at this moment, she jumped and my brother's shehra just toppled down and then there was this moment and I love it."

Erin Ardon says, "I have a tie between my 2 favourites. Both of them are professional photos, but not posed. They both capture my absolute joy of that day. The first is right after we were married. I just remember thinking "yayyyy!!! oh, FLOWERS!" And grabbing them from my man of honour. This still makes my heart flutter."
