#WMGISaidYes : The Boho Love Story

Remember when we ran our epic #WMGIsaidyes contest where 5 couples won dreamy pre-wedding shoots. Akash & Janhavi were one of the lucky 5, and they got a chance to get a sweet, styled shoot in Mumbai conceptualised and shot by the talented Barnali from Burn Pixels Photography. Barnali has a vision of dreamcatchers, flowing dresses, floral wreaths and a sort of a gypsy love, which she shot to absolute perfection! But beyond the photographs, she also incorporated tons of tiny surprises for this couple to make their shoot extra special.
From the bride: With a stroke of sheer luck and support from our friends and family we won the contest. This is first time ever we won a contest and we were super excited for our pre wedding shoot.
We chose to do the shoot in Mumbai since it was the closest to us. While discussing and planning it felt it’s a big deal and I really felt so special. The day we landed in Mumbai we met Barnali in the afternoon to do the outfit trials. She’s super cute adorable, who made sure we are comfortable in our outfits.
The day of the shoot started with Gen getting us ready. This was the first time I got makeup done, and she did a fabulous job. When we got to the venue of the shoot, we had a crew and beautiful sets. They made a cute white tent with throw pillows and dream catchers lots of other beautiful stuff. It all looked so cute and dreamy…
While shooting in the tent, Soma (from Barnali's team) kept giving me or Akash different props one after the other. After a few shots, she gave Akash a scroll that he gave to me, and he asked me to open it. It was a pretty golden scroll, tied very beautifully. I thought it to be a random prop that I had to pose with. So I tried posing with it and opened it, read a few words first and in the end it said “Akash”. At first I didn’t believe Akash wrote it, but then I calmed myself and read it all and knew for sure it was written by Akash. It was that moment where you just go aww because this was my first love letter. The next surprise was another cute set where our pictures were beautifully hanging on strings. I was super happy to see that. We had paper boats, and colorful smokes and what not. It was a day full of surprises and just love everywhere.
I am really touched with the kind of love that was given to us and the attention to details given to every little thing that was a part of the shoot. I’d really like to thank Barnali for all the surprises and running after Akash to write me a love letter :P I will remember this photo-shoot and contest for life.
Thankful to the entire team for making it a memory etched in our hearts forever.
