I am an NRI from Singapore and have come to attend my sister's wedding in Mumbai. I, along with my cousins, availed the services of Archana Thakkar salon, Mulund West. We were the maids of honor in my sister’s wedding. In fact, my mother in law and other ladies from my family got their hair and makeup done by the Archana Thakkar team. The whole experience was very comical and disgusting. We were told that it will not take more than 40 minutes but the entire trauma continued for two and a half hours. Ms Thakkar has hired unprofessional workers and she is least bothered about the customers. Anyway, she was not present during our make up. We were lying in the cosmetic chair and dictating each and every step to the makeup artist. The whole process was a joke and we never had such makeup before. The makeup was awful and it was literally nothing special at all for the amount we paid(check photo attached which we have to again redo at home). My sister, who has a hobby of doing make up literally dictated each and every thing to the team. Soon after reaching the venue, there were cracks on the face. First step of doing makeup is to match neck and face but team forgot to match it. After my sister intervened then they realized their mistake. This is not the end, when my mother in law asked for a bindi, the reply which she received was “THEY ARE FROM DELHI” so give Red bindi. Do you guys think Delhiites come from Mars or what. Disgusting. I wonder if you have ever wanted to get your makeup done by such an unprofessional makeup artist/saloon at such a high cost. My humble request to Ms Thakkar is that rather than minting money from customers please do see what your team is delivering on ground because it's your name which is getting defamed. You need to understand that for customers it might be an important life time event which can be ruined in a minute by your team. Lastly, please have some power back up in your salon. We reached venue two hrs late and the groom had already arrived by that time. This is all because of your untrained staff and no power backup. A highly disappointed client!
