Well , before we start , one needs to know that Makeup is not a tool meant to make an ugly thing beautiful, it is meant to magnify the beauty that already exists.. and this is what my makeup artist, areej shaik, believes in.. she believes that all women are pretty without makeup- but with the right makeup can be pretty powerful 💥 Being a very keen follower of her work on insta, I decided to choose her on my Big Day which required me to be under heavy stroboscopic light.. I had a consultation with her over the phone just 2 weeks before my wedding and she had it all planned perfectly and all I had to do was just get my beauty sleep 🛏.. to begin with I have always been very skeptic about the use of heavy foundations under stroboscopic lights because my foundation always oxidised and made my skin look patchy, oily and greyish dark after a while.. With right and best use of her techniques, this Mumbai based MUA did the perfect job with her magic brushes to everything look and stay on perfectly for the longest time.. I was her first Bangalore Bride and she was very well versed with the kind of changes happen when the makeup on one’s face reacts with the climate in Bangalore.. She is full of enthusiasm, knowledge, techniques and lots of love n care .. just what a bride needs on her D Day.. I strongly recommend her for all the to be Bangalore Brides out there !

Areej was a dream! With my engagement being decided just a few weeks before the event, it was a uphill talk just hoping that someone would be available, but I completely lucked out with Areej. Not only did she put me at ease from our first conversation, but she also agreed to do the make-up for my sister as well. I couldn't have been happier with the results. Both my sister and I were showered with compliments for our looks. A few mishaps with the hair notwithstanding, the make-up carried off both the traditional and the western outfit that I was wearing. With my wedding coming up I was in search for a make up artist. I came across Areej’s page on Facebook and liked her work. I decided to meet her for a trial, and see how it goes. I’ve never been a make up person and have sensitive skin, so for anyone to understand that and do the correct make up can get difficult at times. But to my surprise she understood it perfectly well and at each step was helping me understand my skin better. I told her about the looks I wanted and left it on her to work her magic. After my trial I decided to do a tutorial with her for basic looks. If you’re completely new to make up and have no clue about it Areej is the person to go to.
