Diakon Events

We hired Diakon (Ashish + Komal company) for our wedding planning. From the get-go, the business seemed fishy when Ashish contradicted his own statements. One example of that is when he told us that the planning fee would be 2L in the first call and later asked for 2.5L - when we said it was 2L in the first call, he pretended to reduce 50k for us and didn’t entertain further negotiations. We should have taken these early signs more seriously but Diakon was the cheapest planner we could find and when we did the reference check, everyone they connected us to gave great reviews for Komal. So we decided to hire Diakon. Then this happened: 1. Ashish kept asking us to pay the full planning fee to him before the wedding and hold Komal’s decor money until after the wedding is over without consulting with her 2. Komal bit more than she can chew in her production business in which she rents out decor elements to other wedding planners and had no time for our decor planning. 3 months before the wedding, we didn’t see any of our inputs included in the decor presentation 3. Ashish asked us to budget 12L for Diakon’s services when we hired them. 3 months before the wedding, Komal made a bill of 20L At this point, we knew we are being robbed so we decided to fire them and thankfully, found a new wedding planning company to take up our project. I would highly recommend everyone to not fall for this trap and avoid hiring Ashish / Komal as wedding & decor planners - you need someone you can trust 100% I know we’ll see a long reply making us the devil here but I believe the readers can choose what they want to believe :)

Komal and her team have been an integral part of my wedding. Her team of extreme professionals maintained parity between unfavourable weather and a worrisome family. The success of final events speaks volumes of her hard-work and passion towards weddings. My wedding was concluded with utmost satisfaction and hence I would highly recommend Komal and her team. Close your eyes and rely on Diakon events to sort you out. They did a FANTASTIC job on my wedding in Goa. It was a fairytale. Komal and Jigyasa were quick to grasp my taste and style. They designed everything to perfection and executed it seamlessly. Super easy to work with and highly accommodative.

Absolutely loved how the decor turned out. You can trust them fully. Komal and team is amazing to work with. The best part about our wedding undoubtedly was the decor. Highly recommend them. You just give them your budget and they will do a great job.

Hi Komal - Sorry it has taken a while to send this but I wanted to THANK YOU SO SO MUCH for the wedding planning, decor and all the trials and tribulations we went through in the two days. You are the calmest person ever. Because of the weather conditions, everything was so unpredictable and uncertain and you managed to come through and make our wish of the outdoor set up come true every single time.
