I found Face Palette through wedmegood and visited their salon in Kochi. Lekshmi Menon took the time to walk me through the various steps to get me ready and things I could do before prepping my skin for the D-Day. My makeup artist was Ranjini who was AMAZING. She made me feel comfortable instantly and showed me two different looks that I could try - au naturelle or the smokey high definition look. What I really appreciated about Ranjini is her ability to understand me as a person and therefore what I'd be able to pull off, what I really really wanted versus what I think i wanted. I decided to sign up with her for an evening party I was throwing. It was sort of last minute but she made it. I got to experiment and she got to figure out my ticks and quirks. Then comes the D-Day and she was at my home early with her assistant. I think we started at 5 am! It was a traditional Malayalee temple wedding and I wanted it to be elegant and minimal. She assured me she had figured me out and took over. I was extremely satisfied with the makeup for the temple ceremony. After this we had a short window where I had to change into another Saree for the hall ceremony. Again the chemistry was great that it went through smoothly. Overall, I'd highly recommend this company for prospective brides - find someone you can get comfortable with, who take the time to walk you through the process and also give you heads up about things they require, or arrange for the things themselves (knocking down one more item you need to worry about). I found that kind of camaraderie, trust, flexibility and reliability with them. Thank you Ranjini and Team for such a memorable day.
