I hired firstlook makeover studio for my engagement makeup. I am not educated ‘enough’ about makeup so I left it to the MUA without any specifications rather than it being subtle. To begin with, makeup was clean and neutral/natural (nothing glam for sure). Only complaint being my hairstyle was an ‘expectation’ vs ‘reality’ situation - hair stylist was too bad, and it’s difficult to actually realise how it looks by self (which I should have checked before stepping out). My skin is a bit oily - with second outfit change in two hours, touch up was also done by MUA but very inappropriately without cleaning up any oil. And evidently, makeup became very cakey (another mistake of mine, I did not bother too much to check before leaving - ofcourse in my head it was only an outfit change). And my hair was a mess by then which was adjusted just for time being. Overall, it was a bad experience for me. Of the little that I have learnt - always hire MUA who has an understanding of skin type, primes it very well so that it’s not oxidised (which happened in my case by the end in about 4 hours), who takes time to give it a very good finish (it needs to look natural, yet elegant for your big day), most importantly who is detailed and perfectionist in the craft to not let go of any thing evident like these - which was lacking in firstlook MUA and led to a disappointing experience to me.

Professional, on time and knows what he's doing! What more can you ask for. He made me look beautiful on my wedding day. And he did my makeup many times and I was satisfied client each and every time. False eyelashes, great blending and much more. He listened to me while implementing the look I really wanted!!! And he works well with every skin tone/shade. And his pricing is incredibly reasonable. I highly recommend him for your big day!
