I had found Gen via WedMeGood itself. I’m talking to her I got more details about her process and was convinced that she would be the best for the minimalist and natural makeup looks I wanted for my wedding functions at Goa. She was warm, friendly and supportive about what I wanted for my looks. Cut to the wedding day, she delivered exactly that and in time for my sunset varmala. She was a breeze to work with and extremely professional. It takes a lot to get natural makeup right and she just aced it. Keeping the skin real yet hiding the flaws and enhancing the right features - lips and eyes. I always find it hard to style my hair but yet again she literally turned my mood board into reality. I will be forever grateful to Gen for making me feel comfortable and beautiful in my own skin on my Big day. She is one of the best and value for money makeup artists in Goa - do recommend!

Gen was my MUA expert for Sangeet, phere and reception. I wanted to do three completely different looks that naturally complement my face contour. What I loved- 1. Gen is very calm and composed and handled time pressure as well as relatives well, even when we were running late for events 2. She came early and well prepared with all her tools, extension cord etc and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. 3. She pulled off three very different looks that most people appreciated, and even helped me cover up a rather large maangtika that could’ve been disastrous on my face. Saved me with that one. 4. She took care of everything, from the draping to helping with jewellery. It was a one stop solution. 5. Loved her hairdos, especially my wedding bun 6. Technically strong, knows her art 7. Overall, a pleasant experience. What could have been better- 1. Makeup is an art, hence subjective. I personally wanted slightly different eye makeup and said so for two of the looks (I felt my eyes looked very small) but Gen had a different opinion and wanted to follow through with her vision. Since we were pressed for time I couldn’t do much and had to leave for my events feeling less than confident about myself. I really wish that my suggestions had been assimilated, because ultimately it’s about how you feel from within. Looking back at my weddings pictures, Gen and I discussed and I do feel l that my face looks better than I had imagined, but I’m someone who believes in living the moment feeling beautiful more than reliving the memories looking beautiful. That ship has long sailed :) 2. One of the hair extension sets used for my sangeet had a very different colour and texture than mine, and while my original hair curled beautifully, the extension just stuck out like dried grass. After an hour or so of the event starting, it looked very evidently out of place with my natural hair (silky, black and burgundy) and that was a bummer. 3. I am an empath and I could feel the stress between us because of my requests to change the eye look. I feel that on the wedding day any bride should be focusing on being in a great mental space and looking feeling her best rather than worrying about her team. I believe that this would’ve taken the game to the next level. I know that Gen is a strong woman, and honest feedback will only help her grow. I would definitely recommend her to brides looking for a MUA artist who knows what she’s doing and can handle almost any contingency. Thank you Gen, for giving your best at my wedding. Gen was incredible. She is a true professional at her job and did my makeup and hair exactly how I wanted (maybe even better). Something I really appreciated was that she had everything prepared when she came and I didn't need to bring/provide anything. I had developed an allergy around my lip on the day of the wedding and I was extremely worried but Gen handled it like a pro and I looked beautiful at the wedding. So many complimented her work and I thank her for that.

I chose Gen as my makeup artist for my Sangeet and Wedding day looks. Gen was extremely professional and patient. Gen and I coordinated my looks over phone calls and whatsapp during the months leading up to my wedding and she delivered as per her promise. Everything was on point and flawless. She did not let the makeup overpower my own features (which is what I wanted). Also, she is extremely calm and has a very pleasant personality.

Gen is fantastic. The pictures shared of people here aren’t that good because she isn’t socially active. I shared a brief and pictures with her ahead of time. She got everything on point. She did struggle a bit with my mascara spreading but she fixed it even before I left the room. Her makeup stays and she got everything right without a trial. I would recommend her and also repeat her for parties. That is, if she accepts me as a client!

I had a fall 6 hours before my wedding and I ended up with multiple cuts on my face and Gen was amazing right from the time I called to inform her. Not only was she supportive during the entire process of getting me ready, she was patient and the voice of reason I needed to hear, all of which helped me immensely. She did a brilliant job of covering all the cuts and no one noticed how badly bruised my face was until I took the make up off the next day. The makeup lasted for over 12 hours and was brilliant. I wanted a natural look and despite not having a trial, it was the perfect look for me. We discussed what I wanted and exchanged pictures of possible looks on whatsapp as I live abroad, and Gen was responsive and clearly understood what my wants. There was nothing more I could ask for from Gen on my big day as she did a fabulous job with not just my make-up and hair, but also helped me in calming myself down after the big fall.
