This is a late review, but I think I should write nonetheless. I had booked Geetika for my reception look on 7th May 2022. Although the makeup and hairdo turned out to be okay, I had two main disappointments. One, that I had repeatedly asked for NOT to have an over-the-top makeup, and more along the subtle/natural lines. However, the makeup turned out to be a little cakey and a bit too much for me. Secondly, I had confirmed for a complementary makeup for my sister-in-law. She came a bit towards the end of my makeup, and Geetika and her team refused to do her look, starting that the team had a booking immediately after mine. I was quite disappointed that a makeup artist and her team should keep some buffer time for each sitting, and not take bookings so close to each other. As a result, I was quite flustered at the end of my look, and the team was quite rushed, as per my opinion.

I am so happy that I have chosen geetika as my MUA .. The most important part for the bride is to look confident, happy and content with her look and geetika made me feel confident. She had done subtle yet royal look and my family was totally satisfied by the look. She had done through skin prep which helped the makeup to last long. Highly highly recommendable....!!!

I must say Geetika’s approach was very personalised. She met me and my mom to discuss how I wanted to look and what my expectations were. Unlike other make up artists I met Geetika paid attention to my thoughts and requirements even though what I wanted was a little different from what she had in mind. Geetika was constantly in touch and shared helpful tips for dress, jewellery, other preps for the wedding day and all of that helped me prepare well. YOU NEED TO KNOW FROM A MAKEUP ARTIST HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE D-DAY. She suggested the right hair color for me, type of jewellery, nail paint, how to hydrate before the make up etc. I wouldn’t have known. My family is huge and everyone had suggestions but I am glad I talked to Geetika and she helped me prioritize. On the wedding day, the team was very attentive to all my needs, not just for makeup but food, drinks, relaxing while the 3-hr process goes on with great music and so on. I felt really beautiful that day. Geetika and team took my feedback on the go and were very flexible. One way to summarise the look is that I really wanted to look like me on my wedding day. And I did!! 😀😃😃 I would have rated them 5, but taking away 0.5 point for small feedback. I wish we had pressure tested the dupattas a bit more.

I booked her for the Welcome dinner / cocktail party (post marriage) and my Reception makeup. When I was searching for a good makeup artist for my engagement ceremony in my hometown lucknow, I had few pointers in mind. 1- I dont want to go to the parlour, the MUA should come to my place. 2- want it to be reasonably priced as the function was not supposed to be a large one 3- having said that in point 1 & 2, I did not want to compromise on my look at all. As I am an anchor and getting hair and makeup done is like a daily routine, I wanted to keep it stylish, classy but subtle for my big day. While searching for MUAs on wed me good, I found Geetika and her profile page. It was a pleasant surprise for me as she is also my ex college mate. I instantly felt a personal connection and decided to book her becoz I really loved the looks she had created on her brides. I would highly recommend Geetika as a makeup artist. She did a wonderful Hindu bridal makeup, Christian wedding makeup and sangeet makeup for me. I loved all the different looks she suggested, and I was completely satisfied. Booked with Geetika for both my engagement & wedding makeup I would recommend Geetika for good quality products & good makeup skills in general. But overall I was not happy with the look created on both the days. A bride does so much work to find the perfect lehenga, jewellery for her wedding day to get the perfect look she wants. Makeup is an essential part to enhance and complete the full package. Sadly for me , the makeup done by Geetika did not really add that touch. I had booked Geetika, after reading multiple good reviews about her but on the day of the events - the whole makeup process felt hurried instead of enjoyable, the hair did not stay in place within 1 hr of the starting of both the events. My engagement makeup looked whiter than my usual skin tone and instead of doing a light shading as a replacement of Kajal, a dark kajal was hurriedly used when I requested for a lower lid eyelining. For someone with small eyes, I always do a kajal shading, a rounder eye look to try to cut over the angles on my face to give a softer look. The same thing was repeated on my wedding day - with eyes completely tight lined. Geetika did take my feedback on giving me a warmer skin shade but even thay came out a shade darker than my original skin tone. She even refused to put a even a lick of brush to match the skin tone of my face with my neck and arms considering I was wearing sleeveless on my engagement day. My hair looked flat even with all the spray used on my engagement day. The cente parting done on my wedding day also had hair coming out from behind the ears within a matter of an hour. I am editing this review, because as I look back I am really saddened by all that happened :/ Even my photographer commented on the bad makeup job done and how my pictures without the makeup came out better on my mehendi and haldi events. Even in the first review , I held back considering I may be over thinking this. I also feel Geetika did not have the versatility to do makeup as per the face cuts & shape. Nevertheless, I do wish you all the very best Geetika :) Because this may not have worked for me but apparently has worked for other brides. Recommendation: Spending more time with the client to understand what they want , what is your vision as a makeup artist & explaining the makeup process for a happier customer. Being upright about not providing any hair extensions and charges before hand.

Now to all the people who are reading this review let me tell you being a dark complexion girl I was so sceptical about my make up and had never trusted any makeup artist blindly. So I searched and came through Gulabi soiress by Geetika Mudgal. I had told her all my concerns and she listened me patiently. And trust me guys I can't express in words that I had chosen her as my MUA..she is an amazing talented person and best MUA I came so far ....I got so many compliments for my make up on the D-day.I was looking so beautiful in all the pics that i can't get over my wedding day pictures .. I would recommend her to all the girls and specially to dark complexion girl like me. Out of all the tension in wedding this tension can be easily sorted out by Geetika.
