I booked them for my 2-day wedding, including bridesmaids’ makeup. I had seen Prarthana work years back and trusted her subtle style and punctuality, so I agreed to her premium pricing (including travel + stay) without negotiating. She had informed me beforehand that if I was late, her assistants would handle the makeup. During the Haldi, I arrived late and only her assistant did my makeup — I accepted that without any fuss and paid full price, even though the main artist never attended. However, on the actual wedding days, their commitments were not honored. 1. Late start (1.5 hours delay): Makeup was scheduled for 9:00 AM. I reached on time, but my makeup started only at 10:30 AM because the team left the venue to have breakfast (even though breakfast at the venue was ready by 9:30 AM). This delay collapsed the entire buffer time and left me no time to redo or fix the uneven hairstyle. 2. Reduced manpower (not what was promised): -Promised: 4–5 assistants (2 for me + 3 for bridesmaids) -Delivered: only 3 -Because of this shortage, only 3 bridesmaids could complete their makeup out of the 5 booked. - The remaining bridesmaids backed out because the team came with fewer assistants than promised, the delay jammed the schedule, and they felt sitting for makeup would disturb the event further. 3. Non-bridal makeup & draping: I specifically requested subtle and neutral looks. -Makeup was not subtle, not refined, and done without sincerity. -Saree draping was also not neat. 4. My looks: ✅ Haldi look — neat and exactly as requested ✅ Muhurtam look — very good (the reason I booked her) ❌ Welcome look — makeup was fine, but hairstyle was uneven even after pointing it out ❌ Reception look —completely unsuitable : incorrect lenses, poor hairstyle, untidy saree draping ❌ Nandi saree draping — not neat One of her assistants did a better hairstyle than the main artist. 5. Billing concerns: Even though only 3 bridesmaids got ready (out of the 5 booked), she tried charging the full amount and attempted to withdraw the complimentary makeup which she herself had offered earlier. 6. Professionalism & accountability: When clients are late, scheduling rules are strict and assistants take over. But when they caused delays, there was no apology and no ownership. Post-event communication felt defensive and blame-shifting. Because of the delay: - My schedule got jammed, - I couldn’t correct my hairstyle, - We couldn’t take enough photos, - Wedding photography & videography were compromised. Pros: Good subtle makeup on Haldi and Muhurtam. Cons: Delays, reduced team, inconsistent quality, unfair billing attempts, no accountability. I booked her because I trusted her professionalism and paid premium rates for it. Unfortunately, the service delivered did not match the commitment. Future brides — be cautious. Your big day should be peaceful. Delays like this can affect your schedule, your photos, and your overall experience. But overall: - Commitments were not honored, - Quality was inconsistent, - Team strength was reduced, - Bridesmaids’ makeup lacked sincerity, - No accountability for their delay. - Unfair billing attempts
