I will not at all recommended to book Mrs. Jiya Moolrajani as your makeup artist.  My wife was in tears after she returned from her makeup session and had to redo her makeup with her own drugstore products and did a better job than Mrs. Moolrajani could do in 3 Hrs. We booked her services 8 months in adance for my wife for our Wedding and Sangeet. She took 28k per session. Along with the makeup fresh flowers were included for the Wedding Day.  On both the days specially the wedding the makeup was patchy, cakey and got oxidised in 1-2hrs. They were not able to provide the fresh flowers on the wedding day and when questioned about the same they casually replied that we were not able to procure them from the market.  The only thing you require on the wedding day from your vendors is the commitment that they put in the effort to make that special for you and Mrs. Moolrajani majorly lacked in integrity and professionalism on both the days specially the Wedding Day.

I would definitely not recommend booking her! My sangeet makeup made me look like a bratz doll and wedding makeup was patchy, got oxidised quickly, cheeks had mascara fallout and base was not smooth at all! I’ve uploded pictures as well! Here’s what happened- I booked for 2 days - for my sangeet and wedding makeup! And I was very excited because all the photos she had sent me were amazing but for me it turned out a very weird experience! My sangeet makeup in quality was okay but she created a whole new person which wasn’t me! Overlined my lips with a dark color, dark eyebrows etc which made me look a bratz doll! Also while doing the base she usually asks you to close your eyes and recite a prayer along with her which I felt was nothing but a gimmick to apply basic products which get oxidised later! And by the time you open your eyes your base is already done and I’m sure no bride has the time to get her makeup redone entirely! When I got my makeup done I couldn’t recognise myself (in a bad way!) and my brother who came to pick me up from her studio was shocked and I literally cried because my mood was ruined already! I went at my wedding venue and re-did my makeup! Offcourse I didn’t have the time to redo everything from scratch so I adjusted the makeup using the products I had with me! Next day I was pretty sure that I will not let her do this kinda makeup so I was telling her to keep everything very minimal and subtle although she kept telling me that if I do that you won’t even look like a bride but I couldn’t care less! Finally I look at myself after the makeup and it was nice but within an hour or so my base started looking patchy, uneven, cheeks had mascara fallout, skin texture looked horrible, and eyeshadow was looking horrible too! I had to redo the base around my nose and cheeks before sitting for the pheras! The worst things happened with my sister, I booked her makeup too, for both days and she had an assistant do it for her! Let alone the makeup, even foundation didn’t match her skin tone! ADidnt color correct! Her makeup was worse than mine! My sister too had to redo her makeup too because in one word it was just Horrible! My mood was ruined after seeing our makeup and every time I think about my wedding day I wish I had chosen someone else, she is definitely not worth the money!

So I had a good enough time of approximately 10-11 months to plan my wedding and all the vendors as per my requirements and choices. Began with searching for a MUA as the bridal look is the most important for any bride. Every bride needs to look the best on her wedding day that’s the most important I believe. Hence started checking out the best MUAs of Jaipur on various portals and social media platforms as well. Since its quite easy to use filters these days and quite difficult to find the best suited for the minimal & elegant look. Ahhh, Hence I did a lot of research like crazy to find the best MUA as per my requirements. Finally confirmed Ms.Jiyaa on a condition of venue service. Since initial conversation happened on phone call she tried to convince me to come to her studio and she offered a 5% discount as well if I go to her place to get ready. All my ceremonies were planned in a manner that I won’t take a risk to go out of the venue hence I denied her for discount and locked with actual amount on 7th March for my wedding on 21st November. She was in Goa for her family trip hence I sent her details of booking amount etc on whatsapp and she promised to share all details and confirmation on mail once she is back. But that never happened and infact only I was the one messaging her for any pre skin care and looks etc. She wasn’t bothered to ask my email id infact or anything else from my end. Once money transferred it was only me initiating for details and looks. Attached are the screenshots where I had booked her for a particular slot hence that’s obvious that, that particular time will be dedicated only for me. Only mistake I did was I missed to send her my wedding venue address and I shared it on 17th November 4 days prior to marriage as she wasn’t even bothered to ask it or even my mail id or even my outfit colour choice etc. Shockingly on 18th November just 3 days before my wedding day ‘When I asked her again at what time she will arrive’ she says I have to go to her because she has take 4 other brides at SAME TIME. I was like what???? Am I a fool or any other girl who will take this shit? I understand it was my mistake, I missed to send her address but isn’t it obvious with the entire conversation that it was A VENUE SERVICE I WAS PAYING 28000 to??? I already mentioned everything on call but since Ms.Jiya doesn’t care about her brides details and conversations happens on call neither she maintains some record for bookings except whatsapp chats it was a really heartbreaking to know that she clearly denied of the fact THAT I BOOKED HER FOR VENUE SERVICE. Nevermind, thankgod she understood what was happened and my entire day wasted I was in extreme stress to find another better artist I can trust. She refunded the advance and even was ready to upgrade my makeup if I go to her. But honestly that trust was broken and shattered completely. I chose another artist and went to her but I was happy that I did so. It was my first time and for every bride most probably to deal with a MUA but its a regular business for MUAs obviously it should be their job to take necessary details and inform their clients and not just wait till the end day to create a mess. Purpose of writting this review is to just make every bride understand and learn from my mistake : 1. Take all confirmations on mail 2. Book vendors you know you trust 3. MUAs to learn ethics and take initiative to make your brides comfortable not only on the day of event but even before that because they are choosing you because they trusted you & your work. A bride has 100 of things to plan its MUAs duty to take every possible detail. 4. Think 10 times before you book any vendor for your big day.

So I had booked Jiya for my makeup atleast 3 months in advance and still faced issues with the timing on my wedding day. I had to adjust according to her time even after booking so much in advance. From the initial stage, she asked for my snaps and snaps of dresses and jewelleries, so she can work around it, suggested to get a nice coloured eye lens, hair buns to buy and even got me in touch with nail artists. She has acted more like a friend, addressing all my concerns and answering all my calls. On D-day, she was right on time even a little early for all my makeups. Voila!! I looked stunning! 😋I was so calm all morning because i knew i was in such great hands. My makeup stayed put and looked stunning all night. No words are enough to emphasize on the fact that Jiya and her team is ‘THE BEST’. Jiya and her entire team are undoubtedly a blessing for every bride opting to get ready by them. I always wanted to hire a make up artist who does subtle and minimalistic make up, who makes you feel natural. I heard about Jiya through instagram page and wedmegood and i loved the work she did on every single bride. We talked over the call and I sent her pictures of each of my outfits in advance, and she had all the different looks planned.
