I’ve had the worst experience with Komal. She was rude and arrogant on all the 3 days. Wouldn’t listen to the bride and kept doing everything against the bride’s wishes. I would not recommend her to anyone even by mistake.

Average work. Eye makeup was decent . But nothing great . Lipstick didn’t last and looked too dull. Skin could have looked way better . Highlight & blush was not at all visible . Expected much better. Makeup didn’t photograph well.

Komal didi is the best! She did mine, my mum, mum-in-law and sister's makeup for all my wedding functions. We hired her for my sister's wedding 7-8 years ago and we knew we had to get her again. Anyone looking for a classy look should go to her without a second thought.

I had to leave my cermonies in part to reach to her for make up because she would threaten me of leaving my make up. Then on my reception i had to get ready 3 hrs in advance to my event because she had taken up another booking. She had the audacity to lie and say that her staff has made the mistake while later on she used it as an excuse to change my make up venue by saying that she took another booking because it was closer to my residence rather my event venue. Basically she blamed it all on us while it was a huge mismanagement at her end. She creates a lot of pressure on the brides and on the main days thats what we least want. Later she just rushed out to save time on travel and she and her staff did a half hearted job ignoring tiny but important details which they covered by making all sorts of excuses. The drapist she claims is trained by the famous and most gorgeous Ms Dolly Jain is all a sham. She did the most horrible mistakes while draping my Banarasi on my main day which ruined the entire look. She doesnt have enough staff to cater to the extensive demand that she wishes to create for her work. The staff is extremely ill equipped. Alternatively please google top ten bridal make up artists in India (where she definitely doesnot feature) but that might be a better help than booking her. It is not at all worth the price she quotes. She has zero percent humility.

Komal did an amazing job and I highly recommend her to everyone who wants a natural, not-over-the-top makeup for their big-day. She is truly talented and leaves no stone-unturned to make you look the best version of yourself on the most important day of your life.Source

I did the pro-course at the Komal Gulati academy. I am pretty sure I couldn’t have found a better teacher/guide/mentor for myself. Her teaching style and how she explains everything so precisely is so amazing , helpful and commendable. She’s so patient with all her students and is always there to guide us and help us through it. She’s so motivating and the positivity at the academy is something you can’t find everywhere. She also provides placements. Also I have seen her work on her brides,and other clients. The way she works is superb. All her clients are so happy to get their work done from her. I’ve myself gotten makeup done from her many times and I just love her work. Extremely dissapointing experience. Having a big name is not enough! For bridal make up, you need to have a soft and caring towards the bride! Komal was arrogant , rude and simply did not listen to any requests I made! She needs to understand the difference between models and clients.. you can't do everything as per your whims and fancies! Ruining the bride's day by such a harsh and humiliating attitude, I haven't met someone so cold hearted! Highly non-recommended!!

Komal's tag line is adding confidence to a bride and making them comfortable. But! She was completely opposite. She did harsh eye makeup for my sister which she wasn't comfortable with. She was adamant not to soften the look and left the bride in tears. She was very arrogant and rude to us. Too full of herself doesn't respect clients privacy and was adamant to use our photos on social media.
