Not only is she incredibly skilled in her craft she also is a consumate professional. The makeup was a lil over the top and mediocre. However due to Covid I couldn’t have a trial session. Also my photographers weren’t allowed inside my suite when I was getting my makeup done, which is understandable(considering me and my parents have taken precautions for the wedding) But a few days later she does allow other photographers to capture the brides she’s working on. I was just a little annoyed that I couldn’t get my bridal portraits.

I was immediately drawn to how subtle and simple yet beautiful all of her brides looked, which is exactly what I wanted considering I’m not the biggest fan of makeup. After carefully looking through several MUAs for my bridal makeup, I came across Anurita’s handle on Instagram and instantly fell in love with her work. searching through Anurita's profile, I instantly liked her portfolio and thought this was perfect. I contacted her in Feb and was told to contact her a month later. I thought ok fine, so I contacted her in march and then she told me she doesn't take bookings so early and to contact her in June. so I patiently waited until June. I then said as I'm from the UK that maybe in India customer service is done differently to which she took offence and said how dare I say that because I'm Indian too. She continued to say how dare you and it got heated she even insulted my gender by asking if I'm even a woman and then blocked me. I wasn't personal to her or her work or her nose. there's no need to be so hot headed! edit: my previous Mua cancelled on me because she is pregnant and couldn't fly. Not because I'm some monster you are making me out to be. I understand only 24 hours has passed the last time but you can understand at this point you told me to come back to you a few different times. you insulted I'm from the UK and my gender so I agree I did bring up you only being a Mua.

Getting my wedding look from Anurita was my dream. So I booked her as soon as my wedding dates got finalized. Although I had seen few pictures, I wasn't sure if I had to go for a trial or not. Crossed my fingers and just waited for my big day. I even kept asking her suggestions about the blouse and jewelry, she was extremely sweet. And on my wedding she was on time. Not a minute late. I am truly very pleased that I booked Anurita as the MUA for me and my sisters for two events - Cocktail party and the Wedding. Well where do I begin. The fact is that I had very minimal interaction with Anurita before my big day. I did tell her what kind of make I want and shared a few pics for my hairstyle (for my wedding reception). She literally exceeded my expectations with both. Anurita made me look gorgeous on my engagement day!! While I was doing my research I really liked liked her work on different skin tones and decided that she will be the one. She makes you look very natural and at the same time accentuate your features to it fullest. I loved the hairdo she gave me as well. I generally don't do reviews, but this is truly an exception. I got Anurita on board for multiple events just 2 weeks prior to my wedding. She is an absolute sweetheart to work with. Exceptionally professional and extremely skilled. She followed up with me very promptly before the events and made sure she heard me out regarding the looks I had in mind. I shared a few references with her. But, what stands out about her is that she did her homework based on my references, showed me better options and delivered much much more than what I imagined. Also, her hairstylist is the best I have ever come across. They make a fabulous team. I am not used to makeup generally, but she made me feel so comfortable and gave me looks that suited me the most. She's more like a friend and sitting with her for a couple of hours before the events was so stress free and fun that I actually enjoyed the process. Every bride deserves to look and feel like a princess during her wedding. If you are looking for a makeup artist to do the same, I would strongly suggest to go with her. I was amazed by Anurita's commitment and professionalism. She lost a dear one a week before my wedding and still came to the wedding with all heart. She did not focus on how well she can showcase her skills and capabilities instead she paid attention to what I want and was comfortable with. I have a weird hangup with foundation, she calls it one of the most important tools for makeup!! She was able to pull off an amazing look with minimum foundation. She had a different look planned for each of my events. She also offered her own earrings for one of my events because it matched my outfit. I had no make up trial before the wedding yet I could trust her with each of my looks. Shereen, hairstylist who accompanied her was a super sweet lady. Both of them were so easy to get along with which made it easier for me to tell them exactly what I wanted and if I was unhappy with something. Love love love her work and am super happy that I picked her.

For any bride that wants a subtle / natural look (like I did), don’t think twice about booking Anurita. She is super professional, uses good products, and is great with experimenting (without going overboard). She is also the nicest, most patient person to work with, as is her hair stylist, Shireen. Shireen does great hairstyles and understands exactly what you want, and is also an amazing saree Draper (something we tend to overlook, but is SO important especially if you are wearing a saree at your wedding!!). Both my make up and hair lasted through all my events, some of which were 4+ hours long and in the sun.

I got Anurita's contact through someone in Bangalore and my oh my after going through Anurita's Instagram page, we instantly fell in love with her work. We got in touch and my sister went for a trial in Bangalore. Anurita is a warm and loving person who is exceptionally good at her work. We fell in love with the trial makeup that she had done for my sister and we immediately got her on board for all the events without thinking twice. Ok so this review is long overdue. I got married 2 months ago , but the journey of preparation started almost 6 months ago and the day my engagement was fixed I was on a search for a makeup artist. Me being someone who is all into makeup and who watches YouTube tutorials all the time knew I had to get the best makeup artist who understands my taste.
